I'm on session 10 in the program and I am finding that now that my anxiety is somewhat better, my original, very bothersome, worries are coming to the surface. I have adhd. I've seen how it disables the lives of many people and how it's hurt me and my kids. When I was diagnosed with it, I freaked and went into panic. I guess from there, the mind being kind, helped me to avoid dealing with it. Well, I don't want to go backwards, I'm on session 10 and I've worked really hard to get here. I would love to hear from someone that can relate. I'm scared of facing myself....help. pinkee

I'm not yet where you are so I cannot relate but I know all about detox and It sounds like you are retracing some of your old feelings as your body is detoxing them. We hold toxins deep in our cells and when they leave us for good along with them come some of the traces of memories they hold. I know that might sound kooky but I've heard about this happening a lot with folks who clean up their diets, they would smell things they used to eat like french fries or turkey from long term vegetarians coming out of their pores. Even smells can trigger old memories, perhaps something is detoxing from you in the form of a scent and triggering a memory which is in turn triggering an anxious response. I could be totally off-base here but it's the first thing I thought of, especially since you've been at this for a while.

Pinkeetoz-you can face it you are strong, merciful and kind. You need to face it like you are with the axiety. It will not disable your life. You need to research it and take action. You dictate to it, don't let it dictate your life. There is so much help out there then years ago. I know that they even have a type of diet that helps with Adhd, meaning stuff to avoid eating, etc. I did see a book I can't remember the name of the book but it is by a man named Dr. Bob (I can't remember his last name) There is stuff out there for you. Do your research. Good luck and God Bless You

Pinkee boy can I relate,Ive had this condtion all my life. Im not sure if i got used to it or what, but its really not that bad. Try to use your extra energy that this condition can cause.Even though it can cause concentration problems and lots of confusion as well as anxiety. For me I could never sit still allways on the go. It also played a big roll in my life as a youngester, with all this energy I did very well in athletics. Dont let it get you down I know you are stronger than that, as well a very person. You just have to work on the concentration part as an adult So the confusion wont take over. Like I said you can learn to live with this, really we have no choice. I know you are strong enough to make it through this. I find it better to deal with this problem without meds. They can get you hooked, and make it hard to get offas well it can cause some depression. Feel free to PM me anytime about this I would be more than happy to discuss this with you as well or in chat.Fight back dont let this get you down and hang in their. good luck and keep things as normal as possible.
Allways their for you
Randy
