hey there

im really worried about something.. my symptoms of spaciness, headaches and tiredness are so bad and have been for a couple of years. they sound just like a lot of people on this forum in terms of symptoms but this health clinic keeps callin me and saying i "100% have candida" and its like 100 pound a month to do the treatment. to be honest i dont feel much different no matter what i eat and i gave the diet a good shot last yr for 2 months with no change in my symptoms...

i know some ppl on here believe in candida overgrowths (i searched it in the "Find" button) but my dr, psyciatrist and gyneacologist all say its ridiculous because i dont have any vaginal or oral problems...

i am thinking of getting my hormonal coil taken out on monday as i do think this may have contributed to my mentality..

going on the cleanse stressed me so much and at the moment because i have a problem bingeing and stuff i need to have normal healthy attitude to food i think? the diet just panics me cause its extreme and something like that makes me binge more eventually

does anyone have any feelings on this? is there a possibility this is just derealization? im so confused ahhh

thanks for reading anyway xx

p.s. i was also worried i had cfs but i think being depressed can make u really lethargic right?

Lau.......It is true that Candida or Yeast is present in every body.....but there are lots of natural things you can do to control the overgrowth of it.....

Taking suppliments of L. Acidolphilus is an excellent way to control the bacteria that lives in our bodies and keep it all balanced. You can find these capsules at your local health food store. Also this is found in yogurts that say they contain live cultures.
So eating yogurt is a great way to control the yeast as well.

I do believe that over productions of this can cause all the symptoms your feeling as well as anxiety...but when you add the two together it can seem overwhelming. Good news is that both can be controlled fairly well without medical intervention.

I have heard of people that drink Beer having high symptoms of yeast as well as eating foods that contain yeast like bakery items and breads. So for your doctors to say its impossible makes me think it might be time to find new doctors.

I wouldnt however let it scare you cuz as I said there are things you can do like taking the acidophilus or eating yogurts. So relax take a deep breath and try incorporating these into your daily life and I think youwill find some relief.

I as well suffer with this a bit. I am currently taking a prescription for the vaginal type but my doctor as well said that she saw no problems but the symptoms of itching and burning were unbearable. I finally demanded a prescription and she gave it and within a day I was already feeling better.

WE are our best doctors we know our bodies the best fight for what you believe in.

Good luck

My personal opinion is that all these "diets" are a bad idea. I have OCD and I've tried every diet out there. I get spacey A LOT and I also have fatigue and headaches that are mostly related to anxiety or depression. I also deal with some eating issues. Binging can also cause these symptoms. If you stick to a healthy (I know that seems impossible) diet and get regular excercise it will really help. Start with a healthy breakfast and you won't feel like binging as much later. A low dose anti-depressant may help with your eating which I bet will really help your symptoms. After you're eating healthy and feeling better it's easier to work on isues and get back off the meds. Hang in there. I was really messed up and I made it. :)

Oh I hear you! I have had candida for years and just accept it as part of who I am. Did you know that stress actually encourages yeast overgrowth? So, here's the exciting part - once we get better at managing our moods, our candida will also become easier to manage! :)

You won't always have oral or vaginal symptoms. Sometimes that pesky yeast is just happy living in our body without showing up the usual way.

I decided not to do the diet this time. The last time I did it was about 3 years ago and although I know I would benefit from it, I've gone a different route. I bought a few homeopathic treatments and have used those together with working on my positive mental thoughts - this seems to be better for me than anything.

I completely avoid wheat if I can and I stay away from sugar and dairy as much as possible. I've done this for so many years now that it no longer seems difficult.

You might also want to consider acupuncture. I experienced some pretty fabulous results for my candida by doing that.

let me know how it goes! Hang in there, you're doing great! Just recognizing where you are at will help you move ahead.

:)
