need help

Okay I am totally panicing after not having any for a long time. On Saturday I was fishing with kids and got stuckwith a hook that hardly went into my skin I had a dot of blood and used an alcohol swab to clean it. Yesterday which was Tuesday I got a muscle spasm in my neck from underneith my shoulder blade (which I do get from time to time) NOW I think I have lock jaw and am freaking! googling doesn't help at all either. I can't remember the last time I had a tetnus shot at all and ofcourse it is VERY rare I think that I have it!!! I am going FN insane!!!

If you are not sure of your last tetanus shot, call your doctor. It is an easy thing to take care of. I had to have one a couple of years ago for a bad slice on hand. You are not going insane!!

I concur with everyone else -- go ahead and get your shot just for peace of mind. I believe you are ok, though. Just don't go to webmd and start looking up symptoms -- oh, the many times I have done that and ended up with them, scaring myself senseless! Just get your shot so if it should happen again you won't be as worried. Which reminds me . . I am due for my next one in two years!
