Hi Everyone -

I'm starting week 3, and my anxiety has increased to a level that is the worst I have experienced. I know tape 1 warns us about this, but I need to hear from some of you that have experienced this and then moved on past it.

Very discouraging.

Legal Lady,
I am sorry you are experiencing this, but this is very common and to be expected. Now you are hearing about this anxiety and facing your fears. Ofcourse this is going to bring on more anxiety. But I assure you it is all worth it.
You will be amazed at the progress you will see with this program. Hang in there and please don't give up. Your life is waiting for you, and happiness and contentment are coming in the days ahead. I was so filled with anxiety 24/7, almost felt I was in a constant panic attack, could barely leave my home. But thru this program, hard work and practice practice practice, I am 100% different today. Ofcourse there are things I still have to work on, new challenges come in life that we have to deal with, but oh the difference is, we now have the tools and knowledge on how to deal with life in a better, calmer, more productive way. Please, I'll stress again, don't give up, I am proof this program works, it is the answer, if you give it your all. I wish you the very best on your journey to recovery and if you ever need a friend feel free to send me a private message and I would be glad to send a message back, we can be buddies, if you would like. You will be ok and you can conquer this.
Your Friend

Hi Legal Lady, I'm on week 3 and getting better every day, but had really rough spots along the way too. It will get better, just don't look back, keep listening to the CD's, that helps me more than anything! Oh, for a natural way to feel calmer, try drinking Sleepytime Chamomile Tea, or Chamomile Extra with Valerian, I sip a cup in the daytime if I'm feeling really anxious, I also found a wonderful chewable tablet at the health food store called "Calms" by a company called "Hylands", it's mild, just chamomile and passion flower in a little tablet, I chew half of one if I need it, and in about 5 minutes I'm gently calmer. I really don't like medication, so this is safe and natural and has no side effects, doesn't make me feel odd or anything, just gently takes the edge off and I feel better! Hang in there! You know, I also found that my anxiety comes in waves, if you can distract yourself, use up the energy (it's adreneline you have to use it!) and keep busy for about 15 mintutes it helps! Use the program, even if you get discouraged, it works!
Blessings,
Fairlight

Thanks to both of you for your encouragement and taking the time to write. I was so close to just quitting. Anything to alleviate the anxiety. But I'm back listening to Session 3 again and will go forward.

And the herb tea suggestion - thanks for that too. I had forgotten all about that!
