hey everyone
It sounds like it is just adrenalin. It won't hurt you. Use calm breathing to slow yourself down. Your heart rate will slow down too. Keep your attention on your breath going in and out and keep your mind out of your head. It's telling you lies. It may comfort you to have your heart checked so when it happens again you will know that you are really safe and it's just anxiety.
I too have sharp chest pains and it feels like my heart is 'cramping' (my heart also palpitates and races as well left arm/shoulder pain). I dunno if this makes you feel any better (it doesnt with me most of the time) but I was/am convinced that my heart was about to give out for the past 2-3 years, and have had a heart ultrasound, several EKGs, chest xray to check for heart/lung damage, and a CT scan. Doctors are saying everything is fine.
Just know you aren't alone.
