I'm watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation on TV at the moment and had the funny thought that wouldn't it be great to be like Clark Griswold. LOL
Those familiar with the Vacation movies will know that Clark's life is always in chaos. Nothing really ever goes right for him, yet he remains positive and cheerful through it all. Even when his world is crashing down around him, he always sees the bright side to everything. Isn't he lucky? LOL

I think one of the reasons the Christmas Vacation one stands out as my favorite is because it shows Clark at home. The others all have him dealing with the outside world, this one shows he deals with all the same catastrophes at home too and still has the same outlook, even when he does have his meltdown when he gets his jelly-of-the-month club bonus, and then when the dog and squirrel trash the house, he bounces right back from it all. Although he tends to come across as the bumbling fool, he's a happy fool. "We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny f***ing Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of a**holes this side of the nuthouse. " I love it.
