Hey everyone!
I started the program back in Jan. I got up to the middle of session four and after that I just stopped. I had started meds again after being off of them for a while. They seemed to help for a few months and they still help some. I just don't feel as stressed out as I did before the program and the meds. I have my moments and some days and weeks a worse than others, but no where near the way they were. If I feel better should I continue to do the program? And how do I get myself motivated again? I've been trying to stay buisy. Recently got a job I like (part time) and have an interview for a second job tommarow. I also have started working out some- jogging several times a week. I am a kind of person who feels better when I am doing things constructive. If anybody has any advice for this jumble of a message I would be glad to hear it. Thanks,
Joey
Re: Feeling the slacking!
Joey,
Congratulations on the new job and getting yourself motivated to work out/jogging. Good luck with tomorrow's interview.
Sounds like you've taken some really positive steps forward and just need to continue with more steps. Good for you!
Definitely continue to work on the program. Give yourself the privilege of all the great coping skills to be learned from it and the freedom from ongoing questions about getting yourself motivated.
I strongly recommend starting at or before session 3 when you continue - vital step in the program. Some people go back to the beginning. Personal choice. Many of us started and then stopped and then continued again before completing all the sessions. No big deal.Life isn't always predictable and that's OK.
I had surgery in between, -doesn't matter what the reasons are.
This program is awesome. It's probably the most constructive thing I've done in my life.
Go for it and keep us posted.
Sounds like you've made a good start, keep going.

Hi! It's great that you're feeling so much better already! I started around the same time as you and am currently on Lesson 9. I started feeling better after Lesson 2..but I kept going and I hope you do the same because there is still so much more to learn!
To get motivated? My only answer there is to just do it...pop a CD in and just listen..I do my "best listening" in the car. You don't necessarily have to follow all the instructions to the letter but keep exposing yourself to the remaining Lessons.
Again, it is GREAT to hear how much better you're feeling! Keep up the good work!
