Today I just REEEELAXED. Alot of curling up in the chair. My wife calls me "the cat." It poured here in NYC. I like not having to go out when the weather's nasty.Originally posted by Mrs T Bones:

Nothing yet on the job front. Right now I really don't care. I feel so relaxed. I gave Him more thanks for the moment.

Mrs. T Bones,
I am sooooooo sorry for your loss.
Windows Movie Maker is a nifty little app. I've made a few YouTube videos with it, and like you spent HOURS on it. It IS a great feeling when everything ends on the right note.
If you had done everything for him, take heart that you do not have any regrets. When my parents died as a result of their own individual ailments, I had decided long before I would do everything possible to avoid have regrets. My wife is doing the same thing with her elderly parents. Having a regret about a loved one's death (Oh, I should have done this! Why didn't I try that?) is hell on earth.
You should be happy your video made people feel good. Let me know when you get the Oscar.

Kind of a small victory.
Just now I went out on a limb following up with a contact at a sales company that has over the past two years either said no to me or not even responded. Why would I follow up with such a company?
1. Need to work.
2. Need to loose 20-25 pounds. It's an outside sales gig which have me more active then just sitting at a desk.
3. Belief I can do the job.
I am especially keeping my expectations low. As I wrote in the thread, I normally do that anyway to avoid disappointment, etc. I have been within the last two weeks bitter at things like most of the companies I met with at the job fairs going from interested to either "We're not going to hiring afterall" to disappearing off the planet.
If I get a reply from my effort now, great. If not--oh well, I didn't have high hopes anyway.
Small "v" for small victory.

Mrs T Bones !
Sorry to hear that your friend passed away. Making the video is an excellent way to pay tribute. Did the weather hold up today ? I hope the sun shined all day for you.
Chuck ! Way to take a hold of the reigns and choke the interviewer ! LOL Sometimes you have to do that to get their attention. Just because they control who works there and who doesn't, doesn't mean that they're right all the time. Let them know that you have what it takes and that you are who they are looking for. Just don't forget to hop into the recliner to re-juice the batteries once in a while.

You're welcome, Gisette.Originally posted by Gisette:
Thanks, Charlie Brown. I really needed to hear that! Good example. I put out my resume to two places yesterday. And I could do the work for either of them. And if they don't respond, fine.![]()

I think this lousy job market takes it toll more on us sensitive types.
I didn't hear from the contact. I am totally discounting it because it was late in the afternoon that I sent the email. It's also Easter week and though not as commercial or rush-rush as Christmas, alot of companies are in slow-down mode. Some are even closed Good Friday. I'll discount the email effort Monday @ 4:59.
