Re: Dear Diary
Such a tragedy, as if Columbine was not enough. Now this. Devastation. Can hardly tear myself away from TV. They have not diffused his apartment yet. People are still evacuated.
The birthday will be a milestone. Never did I think I'd make it to that age. Thank you for your good wishes. Will toast you on the day.
How excellent for the Old Boy to be out there. Mine is still out there too. I tell him what Trump's Old Boy told him: if you retire you expire. Also, I had mentioned the standing problem so he found a floor mat that might be good: www.GelPro.com or 1-800-435-6287. Maybe it could help. It is advertised in his Food & Wine magazine for cooks who hate hard flooring. Just a thought. Swimming is wonderful exercise. Some say the very best.
Friendship is a gift from.....wherever.....whomever. So is love. It penetrates anything, including airwaves. Stay well, J, be strong, be positive, Love..........T

Re: Dear Diary
And a birthday party it is. Happy birthday Tina.
Seems we can't go camping in Colorado, either ya get burned up or shot. So we must find a limb for us to share above a swiming hole under this internet tree. Roast a smore or two and make plan .
J,
Tina,s floor pad makes a world of difference. I know they are not economical but the best thing you can do is get a dedicated work shoe of quality and built for comfort and match performance for the surface your working on. Our feet is our foundation if they fail the entire body suffers as well. Even the insoles now are amazing.
A bar stool type chair may offer some rest for the back when you need to stand continuasly.
I will ck out fb, Great hearing he is up and about. I do not mean to be pushy but trust and verify his memory condition and understand and confront it early. There are more and more advances about dimentia and alz everyday. It can be slowed in many cases by the quality of our health condtion. Tina has the correct idea blending all her goodies of mind body and soul.
Swiming is awsume, allthough I prefer a kayak.

Re: Dear Diary
R, it is tough to think of b-days or swimming or kayaking outings when things are falling apart here. Such disasters. Sometimes I feel like I'm back at square one when LTT first came into our life back in 2008. Maybe Dr. K will write a book about this latest madman and how mental illness destroys. Have to turn the TV off.
But we can't give in or give up. So I hold on to whatever I can and fight a daily battle. It can be 3 digits out there and I walk in it. Exercise will help the mind too and, yes, I draw on all I can to keep afloat. It's what we have to do. Hope all is well with your mother and you and your family.

Hello, because we have quite a bit of interaction on this specific thread I've "pinned" it to the top of this forum to make it easier for people to use. Have a fantastic day!

Re: Dear Diary
We want your thread up here, WebAdmin, because we are so happy you are back and can then tell you so.
Interesting blog, thank you, R. Very complex. I've seen where scans of brains can actually reveal such aberrations. Who will agree to such testing? And eccentricity need not automatically lead to violence. There seems to be a combination of genetic disposition and circumstantial trigger, in his case probably failing exams. If he comes to trial we'll learn more. In the meantime there is great suffering by many people. His parents also.

Hey Tina, nah you don't need my 'thread' up here lol I can tell by the number of people that are coming back in that they like the place. Took the broom and swept out a few cobwebs today but other than that you'all are doing fine.

Dear Diary:
Good Grief ! It is July 26th, Thursday, at 12:12am, and I am still awake.
I sure wish I could get a good nights rest. I have been having trouble
falling asleep and with sleeping in general now for a few years.
This past week has been pretty bad as far as the sleeping. The other
evening I was still awake at 3:30am. What causes this ? I would like to
know if there are any other people out there that just cannot sleep
and don't know what to do. Right now I am taking 1/2 a Lunesta pill
and 1/2 a Seroquel pill at night. I have very recently returned to
drinking coffee, but only in the morning. I have been eating chocolate too.
One of the main things that keeps me awake is that my mind is always
thinking of something, it is always so busy with my thoughts that I
cannot get the rest I need ( that deep sleep ). If anyone has any
remedies, I would love to hear from them.

Re: Dear Diary
Sleep, like all else, is controlled in the brain. It works best when there has been adequate activity and exercise during the day so there is a physical feeling of tiredness. So I think. I also believe that artificial sleep inducers will weaken that natural brain function. Regularity can help.
That moment when I make my bed, get ready, and fall into it is very dear. The cares do not go with me, only the good feeling that I am comfortable, hug my pillows, and can close my eyes. If sleep does not come right away I only think good thoughts, giving myself some more of that positive self talk. I trust the brain to secure what it needs. Just sharing my thoughts and experience of pleasure in that moment when I can turn to sleep and shut the world out.
