Today's simple pleasure: Going for a walk at my local recreation area and coming across a Mommy deer with two spotted fawns. They weren't afraid of people at all. Several of us just stood and watched them...as the fawns checked us out. Such a sweet moment. :)

Finding a penny on the ground.
Finding t-shirts for the kids marked down to a dollar.
To have someone pray for me.
Painting my daughter's toenails.

It's been a while since I've posted. Was either feeling too good or too down to post. LOL. Anyway, here's today's simple pleasure:

Going on a bike ride tonight and see a really old couple walking together down the middle of the street in this secluded development. She was using a walker and pushing it along as he held her arm. Awwwwww. It was such a neat sight. Two people who have probably spent their lives together out trying to get some exercise to squeeze just a little more out of life. Made me want to say "you go girl!" to the woman. I should have.

My simple pleasure(thank goodness I have 1 than 1 - but won't post them all here, lol -y'all know how much I can talk, hahahah):

My simple pleasure is the immense pride I have in myself knowing, while having major depression, I was able to lose 70lbs b/4 turning 40. Although not the MAJOR REASON why I chose to lose the weight, another simple pleasure for me is the single digit pants/shorts/skirt size - SIZE 4.

Your greatest challenge isn't someone else. It's the aching i your lungs & the burning in your legs & the voice inside you that yells "CAN'T". But you don't listen. You push harder & hear the voice that whispers "CAN". An you realize that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you REALLY ARE.

When my 2 year old son comes up and gives me a hug and kiss. I love that little guy.

Ahhhh the little things, there are so many, so here's a few of mine.
Hugs. I love hugs.
Smiles.
Watching birds in the morning, with my cup of decaf coffee, outdoors. Nice quiet time.
Listening to the crickets at night- last night they were a full orchestra!
Watching the clouds and smelling the ocean air at the beach.
Cutting flowers from my gardens to bring indoors.
Listening to the rain fall and thanking God for it.
Seeing a rainbow - awesome one just last week and my family and neighbors just kept watching with me and smiling till it faded. Double ringer.
Chatting with my hubby on a long drive.
Quietly remembering all the blessings I have in life and having the skills now to enjoy my life even more.
Hugs to all of you!

Days off having time to myself or doing something fun with my boyfriend or just being home and doing nothing. Being able to enjoy my day at my pace and do things for me.
