Post your simple pleasures - little things that brighten your day
watching TV with my head on hubby's lap while he plays with my hair...ahhhhhhhh simply the best feeling EVER!!!!!
"O God, you are my God. Earnestly I seek you;my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is BETTER than life,my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands." Psalms 63

Been slacking lately. Seem to have just put the program on hold for about 10 days. I think it was my depression taking hold of me again. But need to get back to it!
Today's simple pleasure: going to a graduation party and having a great time gabbing with old friends. Had no problem making conversation. It was a good day!

Yesterday, hubby + me + ginger(9 mths old SHIH POO PUPPY) slept till 10am - yep, 10am - went to sleep @ 12 midnight nite b/4. Then, when we got up: we made 2 little bfast sandwhich's - got something to drink & we all went to this local park nearby. We found a shady spot under a tree(it was big time sunny in NJ yesterday) - & we PLOPPED A SQUAT - right there. We ate bfast, watched a men's softball league play a game & we just chilled.

Your greatest challenge isn't someone else. It's the aching i your lungs & the burning in your legs & the voice inside you that yells "CAN'T". But you don't listen. You push harder & hear the voice that whispers "CAN". An you realize that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you REALLY ARE.

Having my step daughter, her boyfriend, her 2 friends and their dog over for the day! Was SOOOOO nice to see her and her boyfriend, her friend from Kuwait that we never met but have heard SO much about and her high school friend that we have known for a number of years and not seen in a while. The kids are growing up.
We are getting older!

I have way too many to list, isn't that a good thing..............NO! It's a GREAT thing! What a wonderful feeling to come on here and read this thread, and have too many positives to list! Though my mind would stray now it only sways, and not for long either! God Bless!

My simple pleasures is watching my son's face while he sleeps, so peaceful, so innocent; Making my husband laugh when he is trying to be serious; Being there for my mom as she is surviving cancer, we laugh all the time; Walking through our park and smelling all of the flowers; laughing and living in the moment with friends and family; Reading posts like these - they make me smile
