Jill,
That happens, feeling down. When it happens to me, I make a special effort to dwell on whats right with my life, not what is wrong. It helps, and sometimes it just takes a bit longer. That don't mean your loosing ground. Just a bump.
Be kind to your self, think nice thoughts. ;)
Hope your feeling a bit better!

Jilly -

Sorry to hear you having trouble. I'm right there with you. We have our ups and downs and right now it seems the downs are ahead. At least there only one way to go from here - up!

Hugs,
Jamie

Man O -

OK, so how about a palette cleanser to get those "catchy" tunes out of your head. This is always one of my favorites:

This is a cover by Michael Buble:

Michael Buble - Save the Last Dance for Me

For the purists, here's the original:

The Drifters - Save the Last Dance for Me

I'm back to working on the bathroom tomorrow and Sunday. I'm taking my time and I'm only working on it on the weekends. Tomorrow I'll be insulating, putting a new sub floor down and putting the new tub and drain in. If there's time, I'll start putting up some drywall. Doing it this way, it's not burning me out.

THH - has the dude come by to paint the ceilings yet ? Are you painting them boring ol' white?

Searunner - I'm a purist. I've found that in MOST cases, the original is better.

Jill - STOP BEATING YOURSELF UP !!!! I know, I know....easier said then done. It takes practice and plenty of patience.

I heard this on the radio on the way home today and I can't get it out of my head.......but I don't really want it out of my head. It's a good one.

Thanks for the song--one of my old favorites. I even downloaded it. Carefree Highway is a good theme song for anti-anxiety. Been relapsing, but I know it's my own fault because I've been eating too much sugar. Believe me, every time i do that, it happens, the increase in anxiety--so the sugar warning is no joke. I have diabetes anyway, but it's mild but I cheat due to cravings. So I have to make a choice. Ate salad a while ago, just lettuce and cottage cheese. My husband won't keep the sweets out of the house and controlling myself is a major issue. Can't do it without the Lord.

Kathie - I find that if I eat too much bread or any other carb, my body acts the same way as if I ate sugar. Watch the carbs too. As a diabetic, I'm sure you know that already. I'm not diabetic, but I still need to watch it.

Hey gang! Good tunes just keep on coming! How nice. :)

I seen Gordon with John Denver years ago in Cleveland. Good Mellow night!
Thought this was a bit of interesting news, David Cassidy was picked up in Fl. DUI, they showed his mug shot. Boy did he get old! LOL...
Leno did a funny about it last night, showing the Partridge family bus weaving on the street. It was funny! :D

No painters yet. He promised he'd get here before Thanksgiving! Tick tock...
Good on you bathroom project! Did you pick out new sinks and stuff or are you putting the same back in?
I don't know yet about the color. He said he could tint it to what ever color. I don't think bright white will look very good in a old house. I'll probably go cream or beige? Any suggestions?

Well all this old stuff makes me think young, forever young! LOL... :D ( That would be us!)

Forever Young ! That's us LOL

I'm not a fan of white ceilings. Cream or beige is better. I got daring in one room. It's a big size room with lots of windows. I did a dark green ceiling. I was told about it a few years ago and I thought the idea was gross. I decided to do it knowing that I could always paint over it again. I really like it. The walls are a colour called "worn glove" (it's a medium brownish colour) and the ceiling is called "billiard table". It's a dark green. Surprisingly a lot of compliments. In an old house, stick with a ceiling that's not a bright white. If you have a room with lots of windows, try a darker colour. When I opened the can of "billiard table" it looked weird. It did a magic trick on me and it turned into a really neat colour on the ceiling.

Time to search YouTube ! Back in a bit.
