Because of the intense HEAT, we haven't been able to take our puppy GINGER outside to play. Yesterday was a little cooler in the morning, apprx 9:30am. I was able to take her to this sm local park, because I had off fr work. We walked around a bit. Actually, she ran, lol. I found this 1 huge tree w/ nice shading & total view of the park itself. We took a break & sat under that tree for, GET THIS 40 minutes!! Ginger was happy & content - I swear dogs can smile, lol(its my 1st dog ever). The cool thing is this: I remember saying out loud, "wow, this is so RELAXING - it's so beautiful outside today & this park is nice". Sure, I've had MANY relaxing moments since my recovery - THANK ABSOLUTE GOODNESS :D It's just this time, I KIND OF/SORT OF REALIZED IT A LITTLE MORE! I got that feeling yesterday, I DIDN'T WANT TO BE ANYWHERE BUT RIGHT THERE - WHERE I WAS. That makes me very happy - cause that is RECOVERY = that I can do that now & I LIKE IT, lol lol lol THANK YOU LUCINDA, LOL!!!!!!

Your greatest challenge isn't someone else. It's the aching i your lungs & the burning in your legs & the voice inside you that yells "CAN'T". But you don't listen. You push harder & hear the voice that whispers "CAN". An you realize that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you REALLY ARE.

Today's simple pleasure: sitting outside in my gazebo this evening and reading Lucinda's book. When it got too dark to read, I walked back to my condo and saw my first lightning bug of the summer. It's officially summmertime! Yay!

The beach. I have never been more calm anywhere.

Today's simple pleasure: Find a cute skirt on sale at the store and rushing home, cutting off the tags and wearing it to a picnic that same day. And then getting compliments on it. Yeah! :)

Today's simple pleasure: Had yoga class today and the instructor gave us homework to look ourselves in the mirror every morning and say out loud "I like myself. I like myself. I am a very special person. Every day in every way, I like myself. I like myself". She paused at the end of each sentence for a second and said it very calmly and serenely. Gonna have to do my homework! :)

Taking my 4 year old nephew across the street to the golf course just after dark. Where we'll catch frogs and lightning bugs, run through the sprinklers, and lay on the greens and talk about important issues(SpongeBob and Scooby Doo).

watching TV with my head on hubby's lap while he plays with my hair...ahhhhhhhh simply the best feeling EVER!!!!!
"O God, you are my God. Earnestly I seek you;my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is BETTER than life,my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands." Psalms 63
