Hey fellow friends!

I'm totally new in the program. I'm currently on session 2. I really like what has been presented thus far but I have a few questions. I definitely struggled with anxiety and panic attacks in the past. There's no question in my mind at all. However, I feel that I've really gotten control of that issue. My big struggle right now is depression and binge eating. I can't seem to get a handle on it. I see the same patterns repeating themselves over and over again. I'm good for a few days then back down in the hole.

Do you think this program would help me? It doesn't seem like it addresses depression enough.

Hi there C.Davis,

I know the Lucinda has tried in this latest verison to address depression more than ever before. I am in Session 3 and she does flip back and forth between both and even mentions that she will be focussing on depression throughout the program. I'd say..hang in there and keep coming back... :-)

The few things that come to my mind are:

I think a good part of overcoming anxiety is the belief in the program and ourselves. How can we convince ourself that the program works? We are already so full of self doubt that it is difficult.

I wish the program would go more into detail about health anxiety, yes it touches on it but I need more help in this area. It seems to be such a big part of anxiety that it would be helpful.

I think in session 3 or 4, a women on the tapes had a heart attack induced by stress, WHAT is the purpose of putting this in the tapes if you know that is one of our biggest fears and in earlier chapters you say anxiety can't hurt us!!! Its very confusing for us health anxiety sufferers and scary..

Also on one of the tapes Lucinda says that she is a pieces, but on "My Space" it says that she is a Virgo. Which is it??

I also have to eco the price concern, and if the program works so much why don't more professionals know about it. My counselor didn't have a clue and she has even suffered from anxiety in the past herself.

Are we going to get answers to our questions????????

Hi this is absolutely great!!! My questions are:

How to not be afraid of the body symptoms while driving? The tension headaches...VERY SPACEY feelings?

Knowing when you are getting better and how to just plainly move on with your life.

Thank you.

Hi Luncinda! :)

When I started the program 5 weeks ago my biggest concern was how I was going to change a lifetime of beliefs and depression. I'm 44 years old and have had problems with depression and anxiety since I was 12. My environment and upbringing were my contributors. I felt like I was in a vicious, dark hole that I was never going to get out of. I tried medications in the past but didn't like how they made me feel. That's why my husband bought this program for me; it was something I could do to help myself.

I just finished session 4 and for the first time in my life, I KNOW I'M ON A DIFFERENT ROAD THAN I HAVE EVER BEEN BEFORE! I still have a long way to go, but for the first time I am feeling POSITVE and self accepting of me. I can't tell you how good it feels to feel hope and moments of true joy in my life. I find myself wanting to tell everyone how good I feel! I can't thank you enough for turning your own personal issues into a program that can help so many people. I would also like to take a moment to thank Carolyn as well. Her personal positive words of encouragement to my situation really made a difference for me.
God Bless You Both!

Can you please give me directions how to use this peer groups on line. I can not fighure out how to reply or even type my own quwestions. This is too confusing to figure out and take too much time surching. I am suggesting that when new members come on board that there is a step by step demo. Hope this works. Thanks!

Since you asked, I DO have a question for Lucinda.

Why is it that a 15 week program offers only a 30 day money back guarantee? It's not possible to know with any degree of certainty after only 4 weeks whether or not the program will work for an individual. Just being excited about the possibility of the program being the thing that will finally help an anxiety sufferer recover is enough to make anyone feel much better for a few short weeks, but that's nothing more than a placebo effect. So please consider extending the warranty to the full 15 weeks. This will accomplish two things:

1. It will relieve the skepticism of so many, because the program IS expensive - I don't care how you justify the price - and so more people will buy it if they know they can get a full no questions asked refund after doing the whole program; and

2. It will encourage (force) people to do the program from beginning to end, in a timely fashion, and not procrastinate starting it. So you will actually help the people who can be helped by the program to get better faster. Those who can't be helped by the program will also find out for sure instead of basing it on only the first couple of weeks AND they will not have wasted their money - money that many people who suffer from this disorder can't afford because they can't work.

And in case you're worried about people taking advantage by doing the program, recovering, and still wanting their money back... anyone who has an accurate and thorough understanding of people who are plagued with anxiety disorder knows that we are some of the most honest and guilt-ridden people in the world, so if the program works we will not send it back, and even if we were tempted to, our guilt would not allow us to. Plus, people who really want to can get away with not paying a dime now by getting the program, recording it onto their own tapes, photocopying the workbook, and sending the program back before the 30 days is up. I guess my point is, where there's a will there's a way... so the many honest people shouldn't be penalized for a few bad apples.

So Lucinda, you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain by extending the money back guarantee to the length of the entire program.

Please give it some serious consideration.
I suggested this as well and couldn't agree more! 4 weeks just isn't enough.

Thank you for this opportunity to comment. My question (or request rather) is that the program address the "Depressive Episodes" more. I'm talking about those sudden "Depression Attacks" almost like Panic Attacks but those attacks of very negative, gloomy, "I'm never going to get over this condition, I'm different" episodes where you just feel like giving up. I don't consider myself depressed as I'm a very chipper person most of the time but I get these waves of very depressive scary thoughts.

Also, if I bought the program in 2005, when they revise the tapes, is there additional information that would be helpful to those of us with an older addition? Maybe new symptoms addressed, etc.

Does Lucinda or the StressCenter.com tour? I would love a chance to see Lucinda in person or attend a seminar. Maybe they just don't offer them where I live?
