I can tell you that any job I ever got was never advertised. I just went knocking on doors whether they were hiring or not. Now mind you, the last time I did that, the economy wasn't this bad. I know you've done all you can do, so I don't know what to say.
Thanks, brother. I don't know either. I really don't want to speculate or go into detail. Today is the first day I am not depressed. I had a minor bout since late last week. It was due primarily to my project but this "summer" interview didn't help either. I am back on Lexapro.

Cloie,

Thanks for the beautiful prayer, and video.

The past couple of days I've been depressed, I wasn't mad at the Lord. I gave Him praise. But I just couldn't ask Him for help, either in terms of the actual business situations or just to get out the depressive mood. I don't know why. I have been mad at Him before and during those times I didn't pray (which, kind of, makes sense.) But this time, it didn't make sense: I wasn't mad at Him or blamed Him, yet I couldn't pray for help. :?

Cloie,

Thanks for the message and the video. That vid had so many beautiful pictures. I felt like the guy at 2:09.

When I woke this morning, I knew I felt better. I got out some more resumes and worked on my project. Thankfully the non-depressive feeling has lasted the entire day, though I was kind of preparing it may return. If the depression returned, I would have tried continued doing my work. If the mental fatigue continued like last night, I would have stopped working and continue showing compassion and understanding to myself.

Depression is an actual illness, like the flu or acid reflux. It is not a personal trait of weakness. (The depressive symptom of tiredness is just that--a symptom, it is not a reflection of a poor personal characteristic.) I know my depression: it is mild and usually reactionary depression. I know its sources. I also know how to deal with it. I don't like having depression, but I like having the necessary knowledge for it.

;)

Thanks for the reply, Cloie.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. The beginning of the last paragraph was more for anyone who was reading this who doubts depression as an actual clinical ailment, or who thinks depression is the result of a weakened character.

Have a wonderful night. :D

Well, I get another crack at my old company. I have an in-person job interview next Wednesday. This is for a different position than the one I tele-interviewed for last month.

Hey Charlie Brown! Maybe luck really IS in the air :D I think I mentioned on this thread that my brother has been interviewing on and off for nearly 7 years for a job he really wanted. Well, 2 weeks ago, he got it! He is training for it now. I haven't had time to post much lately but I just wanted to wish you the very best of luck......I will be saying a prayer that this job is right for you and it is YOURS!

THH and can'tdanceandcan'trelax,

Thank you so much for the encouraging messages.

My sincerest well-wishes to your brother-in-law and brother. :) I am so happy they got their jobs. Hopefully I will be next.

My interview got changed to the next day, Thursday. That's fine with me. I think I can squeeze it in between meetings with the Joint Chief of Staff and Congress. ;) :D
