I will continue prayers for your dad and your family. Thank you for keeping us updated I know that is the last thing you probably feel like doing. You are so strong and doing a wonderful job holding up wow you are an amazing man and son. Take care and God will be with all of you.

(((((((((((DAVID))))))))))))) I'm sorry that your Dad is going through this difficult time; I pray that he has a speedy recovery. Sounds like you are doing an awesome job of holding it together under a very stressful situation...your Mom must be so thankful that you are with her now. She needs your strength. I'm happy that you were able to keep the anxiety at bay for most of the day...you are definately an inspiration to us all. Please keep in touch and let me know how you all are doing. xoxo Ellen

Dad did better today, they got him up this afternoon and he took 10 steps on his own. Now the doctors feel that by monday or tuesday he should be able to go home. He'll have between 4 & 6 months for total recovery but he'll be able to start doing a few things as early as next week. He looks good, says he's sore but that's normal from being cut open as much as he was, but he's got a good outlook on it all.

Mom's doing much better today. Yesterday the wait was about to take her out and the nurses finally got her to take 1/2 of a xanax to calm her down. They tried to get me to take one but almost wound up eating it instead of me. No way, I don't need the pills, just needed to hear dad was in recovery that's all it took for the stress to come off me.

I'm running my tail off down here but will update you as much as possible. :)

Thank you all for everything!

David

Hi David,

I don't know you that well, but I can fully relate to watching a loved one going through that type of surgery. I've watched it four times, my dad twice, my husband once (at the young age of 44) and just recently my mom on January 2nd of this year.

Just wanted to let you know my thoughts and prayers are with you let you know, you're not alone and that there is someone out there that has recently go through what you and your family is going through right now.

Take care!
