I am proud of myself for begining to recognize when fear is stopping me from doing things. I use my + self talk and do it anyway.

I woke up with no morning anxiousness today and actually had an uplifting and positive dream last night that made me happy.

Hey everyone!

This is a really good post. I am proud of myself for making the effort of traveling all the way to the library just to go on the website.
I am also proud of myself for getting up the courage to go out and apply for jobs eventhough I haven't been feeling up to it.
Thanks again everyone for sharing,

Katie

Good for you Steve. That you are able to do
things. You have great ability to go on with
your life even though you have anxiety attacks.
Good Luck and Best Wishes in your job hunt.

I'm proud of myself for a lot lately. I'm going places again. I started 2 online classes. I bought a new vehicle. And I just got back from my #1 scary store to go to! woohoo.

I am proud of myself today because I made the decision to go back to work on 04/14/08 even though my anxiety is telling me I am going to freak out.

I am proud of myself for coming to this discussion board, yesterday was my first post(s) and it made me feel really good to know that there are people like me out there and we can all talk openly about what we're going through without shame. I'm not the type to blog or chat online, but I'm glad I gave it a try and I look forward to using this as a tool for support as I work through my program. I hope I will be able to quit drinking and smoking as well when I get my anxiety under control. Prayers please!!!!!

How great to hear all of your accomplishments! That's so encouraging. I have complete compassion for everyone with so many problems but sometimes I leave the support group and feel worse than before...because I take on everyones difficulties personally and think about them throughout the day...wishing I could make a difference...So I have posted especially to the newcomers to give encouragement knowing that this program works if you give it a chance.
I'm on session 5 and am doing really well. I am also proud of myself for my own accomplishments which are: I have driven in traffic after many years - I used the 6 steps at the dentist - the self talk to being more positive are definitely working for me - decaf will be fine until I feel I can handle the caffein - even the grief after the loss of my daughter is now easier and I realize my fears of dying myself as well as the people around me are not real....I hear my daughter saying to me "Mom you have too much to do yet!"
I am grateful for every day and am so glad I'm doing this program.
Keep up the good work and a big hug for you all!
