How Do You Deal with Disappointment, Frustration, Feeling Down, Minimal Expectations
The moral of the story is none of us want to self destruct. It is a challenge, but we must make wise decisions every day of our life. This is easier said then done! It is very difficult to control our emotions on a day by day basis. Like they always say, "stop & smell the roses". If anyone has a metaphor to share, please do.

I felt "the blues" starting to come on because I've not heard anything from the interview or the new wave of resumes I sent out. I want to beat "the blues" before they start. I have my nephew spending the weekend here and am going to a niece's recital tonight so I definitely do not want to be down.
I'm going to clean up the apartment. My wife will really love that

Have a good weekend, everyone!

Hi Charlie Brown, just checking on how things are going and I heard (no, saw) you say you were feeling blue. OH NO! Charlie, please don't be blue, things ARE going to work out. I have a brother who has been interviewing for a job he really wants on and off for 7 years and they just called him in for another interview last week. Okay, after I read that maybe it is not very encouraging......I am praying that you are out enjoying yourself and NOT being blue.

Thank you for the post and the prayer, can'tdanceandcan'trelax.
Due to schedule changes, my nephew didn't come over. Instead my favorite niece did
. It was a good weekend.
I feel the blues starting to creep in again. Low expectations and $ worry are sources. I took my Lexapro. I am going to email the recruiter from last week's interview. We'll see. I'll send out more resumes and work on my project.

Awesome verse! Thank you!Originally posted by Kathie C.:
2 Timothy 1:7-8
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord..." I found this scripture very uplifting this morning. Hope you do, too.

Cloie,
I got goosebumps. I also listened to Aaron Wilburn original version. It's good but Karen's voice is incredible.
I am feeling better than this time yesterday. In fact, just for laughs, I applied again for a sales gig with one of the companies from March's job fair. Why? The territory is in the suburbs of NY (not Manhattan), and also just for laughs. I would not refuse the job offer, but I am just curious how far this will go. It's something to do and keep track of while I am searching for an office job.

Chuck......I don't even know what to say except that we all got your back ! Don't worry about a thing. ...... It might make you feel better to put on the shirt, boxers and socks and slide around the apartment for a while....

Maybe it wasn't so bad I didn't get the sales jobs--they were all in Manhattan.
