I succeeded in leaving a hated job. So why do I feel down?

You are under a lot of stress right now, starting a new job. I'm sure you don't know what to expect (kind of like you already knew what evil you had on the old job). The bank is definitely added stress. I say just take a break. Try to be less affected and more effective
(I hope I got the e and a right). I know its simple advice but true. Try not envision this stuff compiling on you but think about how well you handled the last position, your time off and how you will have the money to pay the debt. And don't sweat the other stuff. Not worth it. Enjoy your time off. Us anxiety prone people tend to take our time off to beat ourselves up till we have to go back so we are totally beaten down when finally do go back

goodwillchic,
Then if you can take the boredom, I wouldn't move during this time.
The the only thng really complicated at this point is navigating the computer system. But this will come in time.

What you said here is true.
My big nemesis is the bank because I can't get over how last year I was late one time--no big deal. Now? They sic the dogs on me because I am 18 days late? 10 years ago when I was in collections, the collections agencies didn't start hasseling me til after the 30 day mark. Why because the economy is tight so the bank starts squeezing their customers? I understand this is the point of my anger: my belief in not being hassled so early is being threatened.
Well, I don't have to bank with them if this is their procedure. I closed up everything last week. In my next payment by mail, I thought about including my cut up bank card. Being Italian, this would be my own version of the horse's head scene in "The Godfather."
I probably won't do this, but if I get another call I may wish they become the next Lehman Brothers.
Over the weekend, I rediscoverd 3 books I had on anger. I think this will definitely will help with the bank.
Thanks so, so much for the reply.

Hi Charlie, No Problem and you are very welcome. All I know that is that the outside world wants you to spend, spend, spend and then when you can't cough up the money, they want to harass you. You have to be really careful with credit cards and bank cards. I hate spending just for that reason. But I have now learned that keeping a rolling balance on yuor credit card and making sizable payments on them can make your credit score better. Just make sure you stay within your limits and know that you ARE able to pay back what you creditted.
