Does Anyone See Black Specks
Hi!I had this happen before and went to the eye Dr.He said what happens is that our eyes have like a gel in them and as we age that gel is no longer needed and it starts to dry up.He said that's where you get the floaters. The gel sloshes around and actually gets like bubbles and that is what you see. It's gotten a lot better for me so I guess he was right.I also would get where it would look like rippling water when I looked down.Hope this helps.Take care!

There are actually 2 different "spots". Floaters are quick moving, little spots, like moving across your field of vision. These are the breakdown of your fluids in the eyes, harmless, etc. If you get actual visual loss in a "spot", like a void or hole and it takes minutes to go away, even can tell its there when you close your eyes, looks like a squiggle, etc. and is in both eyes at once. Mine start and tend to grow for a few minutes. These are called "occular migraines" or "Occular headaches". They are usually nothing, but also can mean high blood pressure, but most of the time they are related to hormonal changes. If I can get in a completely dark place, and close my eyes it helps them go away....oh yes, and I get no pain with them, which confused me why they were called headaches:). Hope that helps.
