Jason, I was merely pointing out that marmag did have valid points and, though somewhat conflicting, I am interested in honesty. Sometimes too much "fluff" depresses me more than honest and straight-forward talk.

I definitely agree that personal information is not appropriate or needed, as I stated in my original post. Compassion and empathy ARE needed, even when someone's point is somewhat vague.

What I'm trying to say is that sometimes conflicting thoughts on paper should be given the "benefit of the doubt." Everyone's level of understanding is different, just as this perfectionist, overly sensitive personality type I (and others) have backfires on us into over-thinking and over-analyzing every detail to the brink of insanity!

The Golden Rule applies in all situations. We all fall short sometimes. Do not think I was defending or attacking anyone, I hope I did not come across like that. I'm just a believer in truth, but not "gossip fodder," never.

Thanks for responding to my post. Communication helps. Write again!

By the way, yesterday was a hard one to get through, but I thought about hearing birds chirping to cheer me on the next morning. That (and writing poetry) helped. I hope today is a good one for you!

When I read the first post, I got so sick to my stomach. It breaks my heart to hear about Lucinda's husband. So many of her tapes reference him and how fun loving he was. I am so shocked - are you sure that this is true. My heart goes out to Lucinda and her children. I value this program and what was said does not take away from that.

This is a stress inducing thread! Everyone makes good points no matter where you stand on the original post.

Hi Marmag76,
I actually went back and researched your statement and unfortunately you are right. It said June 08 - Again, poor Lucinda.
I am so stunned by this

I wish I didn't know about this. I find it overwhelming - overidentifying I guess.
I need more work on this program.

poppy36,

Yes, best to focus on the positive. I had a bad day today, but I forced myself to go and play badminton. I feel much better when I do, gets my mind off "thinking" too much. You take care of yourself, OK? I wish you the best this August (a little more than an hour from now)!! Take care and be well.

While sad to hear about the Lucinda's loss, I felt that is brought a healthy dose of reality to this forum.

I am frustrated at the "sunshine and happiness" that seems to ooze through many of the posts as if this were a cult where anything but smiles and curtsies are disallowed. Heaven forbid that anyone bring up real-life tragedies of someone whom I think we all feel a personal connection to, even though many of us have not met Lucinda.

If anything, this give me even more hope - If Lucinda can use her own advice to deal with the depression that this loss generates, this must be a really good program. Also, I can understand why this was kept quite - it is not something that this audience had a right to know. Now that we do, I hope we can bring a bit more reality to the forum - In my opinion, it should be a safe place, but also a forum where we can challenge each other to stretch beyond the fears we face and a place to celebrate each other's victory when we achieve each milestone. Sometimes that will require a bit of tough love or brutal honesty.

I had read this months ago. Of course it would not be advertised on this forum or anywhere else; wouldn't be good for business. Lucinda also sold the StressCenter.com to another company in Oct '08(Transom Capital I think) but remains actively involved in this program. She has been on QVC quite a few times this year selling a 5 day stress program. She looked very nice and was very professional and seemed sincere in wanting to help people. You can go to there website and search by her name to view the product. I also recall the forum techs posting on all sections that she would be on QVC.

With that said, there is no one to blame in suicide...not even the person who felt the need to do that. It is a sad situation for any family that has the unfortunate experience happen to them. No one is immune, this can happen to any family. Doesn't matter if you live in the inner city or an exclusive beach community, suicide doesn't discriminate.

I also agree wit James789.

This forum is nothing like it used to be years ago. I used to be an active poster in 2001-2004. There were some great people on here and we all helped each other. Now, it isn't the same.
