Dutchmom,

Question about hormonal connection to anxiety
I recently got the Mirena IUD and I have been feeling some of the symptoms that Dutchmom and LMM are feeling. I am very dizzy and I get electrical shock type sensations throughout my body and my vision seems off whack. I get really scared and I try to blame things on anxiety but then I think "What if its not anxiety?" I am not having my period like I should be but I feel the symptoms like as if I were on my period. Likewise if I knew that these symptoms are normal and its anxiety I would be okay. I also have had more headaches and am extremely tired. I just had my son 4 months ago and hormones are changing from that too but I think that the Mirena might be causing more of my anxiety.
I have the program and I went through it before but never finished and now I regret it! I ordered it again and I am in lesson 3. It is hard for me to differentiate between anxiety and post partum because this is my first child and I have had anxiety for so long. I just got Mirena a month and a half ago and I no longer have insurance so to go to the doctors is very expensive! I want to go every time I feel something different so its rough for me.
It could very well be hormones.
I'll make my story really short. I had sooo many different physical & emontional
issues/symptoms. 2 of which were anxiety & depression. I went to DR.after DR. Had test after test done. All normal. I did not want to take any meds. for fear of side effects. I had already had a severe side effect reation to Lexapro.
After getting disgusted & nowhere,& doing some reaserch on my own,I found out I was in menopause. (a little early, but none the less).
I went on natural Bioidentical Hormones & within 2 months, everything I was suffering from went away!!! It was great!
I am now in the process of getting a hormone recheck, b/c I think they need adjustment.
You do need to recheck them every so often.
Especially if you have major changes in your life that sometimes are hard to deal with.
And as you get older your body chemestry changes.
I am taking a saliva test.
Anyway....Take care all.
