You're right. Sticking to the basics is so much easier. My head has been spinning with all the diet advice and books out there and it is so easy to get caught up in it. Its alot easier to remember the simple basic. Thanks.

Personally, I think that this whole diet thing is overblown. I prefer to use a common sense approach which incorporates 5-10 servings of veggies and fruit a day.
Too much of any one thing is not a good idea. Combining a little of this with a little of that is a good approach.
Certain things are well documented such as not eating big meals right before you go to bed and cutting down on sweets and caffeine.
If we supplement our diet with some good multivitamins and practice common sense eating habits, everything should be fine.
There are thousands of different books out on what you should and shouldn't eat and a lot of them have studies, etc. which totally conflict with each other. You can drive yourself crazy doing things such as counting calories, proper food combining, juicing and buying 50 different pills for everything under the sun....or just use common sense and eat a variety of pretty much everything.
Thats my opinion and I am sticking with it !!!!
p.s. I forgot to mention that doing some regular exercise is a pretty good idea as well,.....even it it something as simple as walking the dog.
