Hello!! There must be something to help with the anxiety in the night and the morning we can't just except it and let it keep going on. I wan't to feel calm and sleep well at the night. A question to E. Carlsson what kinds of methods have you been practiced? Have you tried Lucinda Bassets programme? Now I'm gonna exercise so hopefully I sleep well next night.
Have a wonderful day :) Moa.

Hi there,
I have a couple of suggestions...listen to the relaxation tape before you go to bed, clear your mind as best as you can before going to sleep. When it's time to start the day, get some fresh air for at least 10 minutes and then do the breathing exercises. Try to focus on your surroundings, birds singing to the dawn and "new beginning" of the day, cars driving past, raindrops, etc. and focus on the smells, sights, and sounds, for a moment to distract yourself from your tension. It helps me when I don't want to really start the day at all. It's just appreciation of something you CAN handle, which is just "to be" without responsibility. I think I learned that in yoga. Let me know if it works. Ciao for now!

I am just starting the program cuz i figure it will give me something to do when i cant sleep. i am actually going to see a doc in a few hours to see about med adjustments but i am really starting to think i have to change my way of thought if i'm going to get anyway and i'm hoping this program could at least help.

Hi again!! I get very glad when I just start my computer because there was a message that I can buy the programme I didn't think that works because I live in Sweden. Now I look forward to my package to come. Yes I understood that I must think in a different way but I can't do it on my own. It's a lovely feeling to read all your advice, and it put me with strength to handle this.

Wayne I hope you find the answers your looking for. I too wake up in the middle of the night with my heart racing and beating so hard. I am scared to death and sweating. This feeling lasts for hours sometimes. It doesnt happen very often but it does happen three or four times a month. I wish you all the luck I hope we can find the answers.

OMG! I know this feeling all too well! It happens to me a lot when i am stressed out or experiencing a lot of anxiety. Its frustrating I know but maybe its because we don't process or deal with our problems enough when we are awake so we take on too much in our sleep and it disturbs us. What do you think?

i woke up this morning at 1:30am in a panic.

i was disoriented, had a tight chest, and my intestines felt as though they were towel being wrung of water. it was stuffy as the weather has been warm and cold and i went to sleep with more clothes than normal, so i also woke up hot.

after about 10 minutes and with some help from my wife, i was able to calm down again and relax and fall back to sleep.

thinking and talking about it this morning, i did have a challenging day at my job where i began to question the path that i was on (self-doubt). self doubt was a part of what tripped my panic disorder to begin with.

the funny thing is that i have been fortunate to have sound sleep for a few months now, so this was out-of-the-blue.
