hello again-

I'm glad that I could help someone out there. I tell you, I felt something was not right and I had to go to 15 providers until I was helped. I was told all things from "it's too early" to "take a bunch of Prozac" to "get over it, it's natural", etc. I like in the Minneapolis area and go to a guy right here. He makes my supplement just for me. I go to a regular OB for my exams, etc. and she is cool with my provider. I could give you his name and maybe he could hook you up with someone in your area. Also, I found an awesome website that explains a ton about all this hormonal upheaval and I use their vitamins twice daily. The site is www.womentowomen.com It has a big library where you can get info. and I know you can talk to someone if you want. They are a huge provider for help for all things hormonal.

Like I said, I was even told by the StressCenter.com coach that I could muscle thru it, but I couldn't. Somethings are really physical and do affect you.

Oh yea-- Karmerri talked about natural progesterone. That is what I take. Bio-identical progesterone made from soybeans. Nothing made up.

Thank you both sooo much! I will definantly check out the book and web-site. I thought I would have to suffer with this until menapause. I actually told my mother one time that I would have a hsyterectomy if I knew it would relieve the pms symptoms. I'm so glad there is another way thru this. Thanks again!
take care and God bless :) :)

Yes, it is safe to take with meds. It is exactly the same stuff that you have in your body now-- bio identical they call it. It's not like you are adding a new chemical in or anything. So, if you are taking Xanax with your own progesterone in your body now, adding more with supplements is the samething. Altho-- you may find that you won't need/feel you need the Xanax so much. I didn't take Xanax, so I don't know that for a fact, but the progesterone is calming in and of itself. Not a sleepy out of it feeling, just like someone softened the edges a bit.

I hope you find an answer.

Hi Ladies,
I come from a rural area where old wisdom can still be found. I was told years ago to eat lentals one to two weeks prior to that time of the month. I burnt out on beans during my youth and would have no part of it until my PMS got to painful and emotionally wild to tolerate. I tried it, It worked. And beano helps with the problem the beans give. It's cheap, it's natural, and easy to find. Now I support bean farmers on a regular bases.

The natural progesterone compounded by the pharmacist used for two weeks each month aleviated all my anxiety and moodiness. Best thing I ever did for myself. I used to call it the hormone valium.

Newrunner:
Thanks for the info on Women to Women, I called them and found out the harmone replacement was a new addition that they just started offering. I take their vitamins so I know their products are good.

I know fearnot started this topic. So I wouldn't want to offend her or anyone else. I just have to say Thank you ladies so much. I hope this thread will continue. The more women that can see it the better.
Mary...I have to tell you. That is amazing! Just think....what if most of us women are really hormonally imbalanced. I know the tapes have said more women than men suffer with anxiety&depression.

hmmmm...I just found out that my hormones are all out of whack. I have been trying to figure out what has been causing my acne on my face, neck, and back for...17 year! and have tried everything to make it go away, even prescription drugs which I was afraid of. A naturopathic doctor sat down with me and talked with me for an hour on two occasions and found out that I have been consuming too much sugary food, and my hormones are out of balance. I have been reading food labels a lot and reduced my sugar, and am now drinking the doctor's advice of dandilion root tea with a tincture she made to add to it - the taste is growing on me - and my face is now starting to clear up!!!!!! Those darn hormones! I know that my acne was a big trigger for my depression. So, I'm wondering if my hormones have contributed to my anxiety and depression as well.
