The questions I had in the beginning were
1. What if I am different than them and I really am crazy?
2. How does a program that you listen to cause any change in your life?
3. Are there really THAT many people in the world that have gone through this?
4. What if? What if? What if I cannot change?
5. Can people really function without medication?
The list goes on and on, but I will tell you that I have almost completely recovered from the anxiety that had plagued me for 14 years prior to this program through the skills that it taught me. I have been through 2 very close family deaths and numerous job changes, as well as financial stress, the stress of 2 teenagers, etc. and I feel more equipped to handle it than I ever would have without this program. Between the program and the chat room full of fellow sufferers, you can overcome this problem!

One concern I have is many folks who desperately need the program are not educated, but are housebond agoraphobics that are alone on a meager disability pension or income. The cost of the program is FAR outside of their reach as it is mine. Therefore, they continue to suffer knowing their is help out there.

While I realize that there are cost involved in development and people making a living, I wish it were more economically priced to make it available to all sufferers regardless of income level.

My two cents...

I am an on line member, and use the materials on line. I go back over lessons from time to time, but I did not buy the program. Do you have to pay monthly to have access to the program materials? Do you continue to have access to the boards? I have purchased several books that were suggested, and two relaxation tapes. Just would like to know how long you have access to the program materials? This program has been very good for me, and I know that I for one am not deeply depressed as I once was. I do know that change takes a long time, and as an older person, I do not have as many opportunities to practice that I once had. I am thankful for every day, and working hard to live just one day at a time. Thanks

I agree with an earlier post...
I really think this program should be made available to schools, Universities and most of all public libraries. I myself am fortunate enough to be able to pay for it but others less fortunate will not be able to. I believe as a human being you have a right to equal health care whether you are rich or poor.

I also agree with the comments about the infomercial, I'm sorry but they are borderline cheesy and they make you wonder if it's just a load of you know what. Fortunately it's not! However, I guess if helps someone who is need of the program at the end of the day it can't hurt.

1. Do you think this program is enough to help people get over OCD? I have realized that I tend to have more of a problem with OCD than generlized anxiety and I wish the program would deal more with this in particular.
Do most people with anxiety also have OCD issues?
2. Overall, what do you recommend for people with OCD to do? FYI, I mostly have obsessions and not compulsions.

What if you've been through the program, but now are having a 'growth spurt'? Would you repeat the program and the workbook or just review?

I'm stuck in secondary gains. I know it, but all the stress is hard to handle right now. What do you do if there are long standing stresses that don't seem to go away? I don't want to have panic attacks to avoid my job or my family. But at this point I can't leave my job, and I don't want to leave my family. How can I cope better?

I think my questions included many things already discussed as well as:

1. How do I know what the underlying issue is?
2. What do I include in a journal - and not worry about others reading it?
3. What else can I do to manage stress and growth spurts?

I read this Q and although I do agree that this program be made avaiable to all, it has helped me . The first 2 weeeks werehorrible for me. I went around every issue and shook ,cried, had more obssesive thoughts, but finally the coping skills set in.. As far as the informerical I found it a bit repetious but not cheesy. I was spellbound that there were so many people out there that had the same disorders I did and had tried the same things I had to no avail. It honestly gave me hope, and my sister thought I was insane should be committed, was using medication because I wanted to get high. (You don't get high on Lexapro or Zoloff) She said the most awful things to me, and it was because she had never known anyone that had panic attacks. She watched the infromerical and thought that maybe shes isn't so bad. That really helped her insight, and it helped me because she wasn't down on me. The laughter on the tapes really struck home because they were using a sense of humor. Humor , I believe is the best medicine, and the fact that these people could laugh at themselves and there anxiety also gave me hope. This program does remind us of all the positiveness of life. It alll what is in the back of minds, that somehow somewhere we shelved long ago and lost the ability to bring forth, and use. To me its a daily reminder that life can be enjoyable. Life is to precious, to spend in the ngative role. I've always lived on my adraline, but never really noticed that some How I get stuck in that mode. This is the first program that reminded me of coping skills I had lost to get out of this mode. Also the diet is great. Jacquie

I always get about halfway in the book and quit. Plus Who has this much time in a day when u are working full time. Please help me to shorten this version of the program so I can fit it into my day without Killing myself with panic with all of the components. NO I am NOT lazy. Just get overwhelmed.
This program has helped alot of people and I am glad for that. but I would like to get better too.

You know they're in it for the money when...

I signed up for the free trial and paid the $14.95 for the shipping. When I talked to the rep on the phone, I requested to call back before I put my order through because payday was coming up and I didn't have enough in my account to cover the charges. This was on a Wednesday and I get paid on Friday. The rep told me he could take my card number, it'll be charged on Thursday and will go through on Friday when my money was in the account. It was deducted from my account on Thursday resulting in a snowball effect of charges which I could not cover.

I requested a refund and Phil told me he would review the recording of the call to see who was in the right in order for a refund. He did that and earlier this week he called to inform me that I was responsible because the rep had told me my card was to be charged on Thursday. Technicality.

Then when I cancelled and got a RA #, he said I had 3 days to get it in the mail or I was resposible for the entire $480.

For a program thats suppose to help with stress and anxiety, they sure did a fine job on creating it.
