Your tattoo reminds me of the one my hubby just got (first one ever and he's 45)

It is Greek and Hebrew symbols.

It stands for "He restores my Soul"

We had a rough couple years and after a weekend retreat as a couple, he decided it was time to get a tattoo.

I'm trying to decide if I should get one. If I do, I want it to mean something. I don't want one like a friend of mine got. . . a little pink pig on her ankle. . . I mean, what does that mean? It's t here forever! I want it to stand for something.

So we'll see. I haven't felt the strong need for one yet, but I like the idea; I just need to figure out what to get and set/meet my goal first.

I'm getting there. :)

P.S. congrats on getting here. . .I'm so proud of you for all you've overcome. I have had a few mountains to climb of my own, but listening to your story I think if you can make it through all that. . . anyone can do it. :)

God Bless,

The program is wonderful and is no hoax. Well researched and well thought out and presented by one who has been there herself. I have had much therapy, am on effexor for depression, and on Session 5 and can see the difference already. I hope one day to be off of effexor completeley but if not so be it.

I am what you call dual diagnosis---addictive behaviors AND depression/anxiety and in a 12 step program of reovery as well. The combination of the 2 is making a difference, I've been much calmer and happier the past month and am starting to exercise now on a more regular basis.

Like anything else in life you get out what you put in, and there may be times one is ready to hear/use the message and times that one is not able. If I had listened to the tapes a few years ago when I was in the middle of a huge job crisis I probably would have not been ready. I could have picked them up again when I was. And do I think I will be free from D/A after completing the course this time. Of course not, I'm human. I will have some additional tools to COPE and can slways go back and listen. Thank you Steve

Hello All - Steve visiting back!

I have to share a little of my dismay. I came across a blog that made an insinuation that the StressCenter.com Combatting Stress and Depression Program Program was a hoax. With that said - I have to vent!

This program SAVED my life! About seven years ago, I was swimming in the ocean and decided to keep swimming until I would drown from exhaustion. My anxiety and depression was so severe the only way out - in my scattered mind - was to end it all! Oddly enough, I panicked thinking about becoming shark bait and swam back to shore. I got back to my room and on my television was Lucinda.

I bought the program and have learned to COPE with life's trials and challenges. My friends...COPE is the operative word! The program gives back what you put into it and if you do not follow the instructions the program will not work.

I met Lucinda and Carolyn. They day I met with them was great. Lucinda is genuine and compassionate and Carolyn is an angel.

I was sick of therapists that payed more attention to their watch than they did to my issues. Then handed me a bill and samples of antidepressants. So in my mind, the program was worth the money.

I have learned to COPE using the cognitive skills taught in this program. Do I still have A&D episodes? Of course, I am human.

Okay my friends...I am sorry for bending your ear. I needed to vent and feel much better!

Steve,

I am wondering if you suffered with Panic attacks and agoraphobia?

Hey Steve! I just wanted to say I'm so glad that you're doing so much better. But, like you said. . . no program can help you if you don't do the work. If someone thinks they'll just watch the videos and magically be cured they're in for a disappointment. It takes work! But, it is definitely worth it. :)

Lenore does have an incredible story. As far as did I have agoraphobia - yes. More so in a manner that I could not go far from home and it was impossible for me to go into stores and restaurants. I had to take baby steps and it was tough. I had to walk out on several occasions. The key here is not to beat yourself up over it.
