Do your symptoms match mine? "Spacey" is a common description, but I would add: out-of-body; dejevu; dreaming while awake; floating; surroundings appear unreal and strange. Usually last only long seconds or a minute or two, but extremely disconcerting. Can reoccur several times in a 24-hour period. Would appreciate any input from others who suffer this disorder. Thanks!

Yep, Dutchgirl...sounds a lot like mine. Only to mine I would add dizzy, nauseated, shortness of breath, tingling extremities, stomach cramps...not all at once during every attack, but those are the common ones for me. It sounds like you're pretty "typical" with the rest of us. :)

Yup, add me to this one. Spacey, unreality describes it to a tee. I also feel like I am watching my life play out like a movie and that nothing seems real. It is called derealization/depersonalization and is very common. For me, it is probably the scariest thing I go through. I lay there at night sometimes and look at my husband and say "he's not real, I'm not real. I'll wake up tomorrow and realize this was all a dream (or nightmare)" They say it is in response to your mind being too busy and occupied and it is your mind's way of protecting itself. Your mind becomes so overloaded that it puts you into this "dreamlike" state to help it slow down. You are not going crazy--it is a common symptom and just understand that it can't hurt you.
