Negative-self talk issues

I have really come to realize that the root to most of this for me is negative self talk. From telling myself their is something wrong with my heath to just thinking that their is no hope. I am trying very hard to change my way of thinking but my husband is extremely negative and whenever I say something about he says he's not negative but it has become very hard for me to keep positive when I keep hearing all of his negativity. I also feel like this is putting a strain on our relationship. He has had a lot of lose in the past few years and I am not expecting him to feel sad sometimes, but he has let it consume him and he won't deal with it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to approach or deal with this? Please help

You will find as you get better, you automatically start cutting the negative people from your life. I never thought it would happen and frankly I never even knew all of these people who I was associated with were so negative until I was away from them! I am far from recovered but I can tell you that I am better. It is so funny to realize the negtaive way so many people are. It is difficult when the negative person is your husband--he will likely stay in his negative ways or he will come to embrace the change in you and grow with you and become more positive. Negative self-talk is a big one for me as well so I can understand.

Thank You for being so supportive. I really hope that my husband can and will change for the positive. It has become very difficult because he doesn't believe in these kinds of therapy or therapy at all really, but I try to just push through it and hope he can at least understand to a degree that I do believe in it. We will see I am hoping for the best any suggestions on how to get him on board would be helpful.
