Does anyone else have schizoaffective disorder and if so how do you deal with it? I can't talk in chat anymore cause I can't get in there and am very discouraged that I can't talk with my friends anymore. Thought maybe someone else might be dealing with the same thing and we could talk. I am having a bad day and I guess that's why I am gt t talking on here. I dont' know. I get mixed up and paranoid and confused sometimes. And i find it very hard to stay on my meds. I also have anxiety and depression and ocd and ptsd. But really wanted to discuss the schizoaffective disorder.

are you sure you have all those disorders, have you talked to a doctor? To be honest I really feel like people are being over-diagnosed nowadays. My uncle was recently diagnosed with bi-polar and I really don't think he actually has it. He had been drinking all the time and went into rehab, and was diagnosed with it. If he does have it I'd be surprised. Also I know us people with anxiety like to diagnose ourselves.

Yes, I talked to a doctor. I am seeing a pyschiatrist and a therapist. I didn't diagnose myself. I had never even heard of schizoaffective disorder. I take meds that help me. I don't drink or use drugs. I never go to the doctor except the psych. I am not a hypochondriac or a self-diagnoser. Just thought I might be able to talk to someone else with this diagnosis. Thanks for you post.

I have schizophrenia but it is a mild form of it. I hallucinate sometimes and I hear voices sometimes but not often. I have also been diagnosed with depression and ptsd. I is really hard to live life sometimes with these disorders but I am managing. I hope you stay on your meds as they will help you. Also this program will help you as it is starting to help me. I have had some type of mental illness for most of my life although I have only been diagnosed with schizophrenia and depression for the last four years. Take heart, with the help of God and this program you will get better.
