I posted something yesterday and got no response and I am still having a hard time. I am not feeling quite as bad but I am still having the weird thoughts and feel "off." Yesterday I was having these breathing problems and it literally felt like someone was pressing down on my chest and I was trying to breathe in. I get the feeling like I cannot get enough air and I panic, therefore causing more symptoms then I already was feeling. :( I also have been in this state of mind like as if I just got woke up out of no where and that groggy kinda lost state of mind is what I am experiencing. I am in some desperate need of some help so I can get through this. Worrying about health issues is what causes my anxiety and I want to win this battle!

Good to see you are doing a little bit better today. I would say that you should contact your doctor and maybe see about going in to see them, just to be on the safe side. I'm sure it's mostly your anxiety and you are going through a rough few days. We've all been there. I had one a couple of nights ago. I'm doing better now, so just knowing that you will get better hopefully helps you out. Good luck and try and take care of yourself.

mornings being my worst, my battle continues in finding ways to fight as soon as I wake. I do make a written and/or mental list of at least 3 things I know I can accomplish for the day (even simple, like making the beds, getting out for a walk, positive self talk every 10 min...). My faith has grown ten fold thru this program. I have been told numerous times ERIN, GIVE IT TO GOD. This is my lastest mantra. We are not programmed to handle this alone. Find something to busy your mind...blast music, meditate, read. It doesn't always pan out for me, but sometimes it helps. I am praying for you.....

Erin, my sister told me about breathing into my hands cupped over my mouth to calm my breathing and it really works. It stops hyperventilation, and exchanges the gasses so that you naturally relax. I spent most of last Thursday night repeatedly breathing this way to decrease anxiety and it definitely kept some of the waves of anxiety at bay. I agree, tho, very important to check out any physical possibilities.

Ethan's Mom, I know what you are going through and yes it is scarey. If you want to check yourself out with a doctor do so. But it is anxiety and panic what you are experience. Recognize it for what it is. Do not be fear it, it cannot hurt your, it's just anxiety. What session are you on in the program. Session 3 & 4 are really good for what you are going through. Best of luck, Leopolda
