I have been in the program for 10 weeks, was doing a great job. All of a sudden when I get
anxious I space out alot. I feel very confused, and frightened. Is this a normal thing at this
time in the program.?

Hi Hobbes,
I finished the program recently and last week had a pretty bad panic attack. The difference this time was, I knew what set it off and I had the skills I learned through the program to get it under control much quicker. The rest of my day went fine. Don't worry if you have an occasional set back. You have been in the program for 10 weeks, but how long have you had anxiety? We have to constantly work on changing the things we don't want or like in our lives (like anxiety)and the program helps us do that. Be kind and gentle with yourself and go back and refresh yourself when needed with previous chapters. Take care and know you are not alone. Peaceful thoughts to you!!!!

In order to move foward we will have set backs. I do the same thing when I feel anxious. Then the feeling make me feel even more anxious. When I get like that I try to start cleaning. Get outside and water the yard. I will also get on here and listen to other people and remind myself that all it is is anxiety. Dont let it bring you down. To suceed we have to fall a few times. Unfortunetly. Give yourself some credit for trying. Try to focus on all the progress you have made and not the anxiety you are feeling. I know that is easier said than done. Good Luck and I know you will beat this.
