I've been on here for a while complaining, I decided to listen to Session 3 today, I did go through the program before but to be honest I think i'd forgotten most of the info, With session 3 it was almost like Lucinda did that session just for me, I could relate to everything she said and after just 1 listen I feel so much better already for the first time in weeks to be honest. I think I am really gonna study session3 again.
What is your favourite session?
Session 3, the best session of the program.

I'm starting it again. Went on a vacation and didn't feel it took. When I listened to the intro today, I was impressed again by hard I am on myself. I generally have no trouble encouraging others but this time the concept of "tell yourself what you would say to a best friend when they are beating themselves up over something" hit me forcibly. I have been struggling with my appearance. Stress & aging have taken a toll and I realize I have been obsessing about this for years. In my head I said "you are beautiful, inside and out" and it made me cry to realize that this is true to those who love me and I now need to learn that it is true. I have a long way to go.
Keep up the soothing thoughts to yourself, it will beome a habit. You mention that you're obsessed with your looks. Even though you may be a little older than others, I want to let you know young people obsess, too!
I live in L.A. and work in the Hollywood industry. I see hundreds models and actors all the time, under-30, who feel horrible about themselves, and obsess over their looks. Their negative self-talk, insecurity, and self-image shows tremendously. You can read it all over them. It makes them look old, worn-out, tired, and unattractive.
On the flip side, I know people that are not necessarily "model-looking", yet have great self-confidence, and it's clear that they feel good about themselves. It's a quality that shines through a person and makes them so appealing. They have a glow about themselves.
You keep practicing your self-talk, and it won't be long before people start commenting about the glow on your face, and how great look. It really does work!
For the rest of you, I'm glad you're excited about session 3, and I look forward to hearing your results!
