Ok 1st, I am 8 months pregnant and yesterday I was at walmart and as I was getting ready to leave I started feeling really hot, rapid pulse and really weak and shaky. You could actually see my hands shaking. I went over and checked my b/p at the machine and it was normal 120/70. I passed my glucose tolerance test for pregnancy, and I just started nursing school and yesterday we all checked each others blood sugar. Mine was 90 about 2 hours after eating, so I dont think I have blood sugar issues. I just have no idea what could have caused it. It is really scary and I hate it. It is so uncomfortable to feel so weak, sick and really shaky. I grabbed a diet pepsi while I was in walmart but that has no sugar in it, I checked all my stuff out and was so sure I was going to hit the floor. I didnt of course, but does anyone know what could have caused this attack????

Angela:
You could still have had a low sugar count. Had you eaten recently?
It oould be very normal one day and still act up the next if you'd gone a long time without eating.
But of course it might have been anxiety.\
I do have diabetes, so of course I occasionally will have a low.
I sure with you the best.
It doesn't hurt to get a really good physical.
Take care.

I notice my anxiety level is higher in the morning. I am trying to follow this program but I have a problem because of lack of time. i think my real problem is depression and guilt. I want to be the best at anything I do and then i get depressed because that is impossible with all things. I do think that a couple minutes of deep breathing helps when you feel anxious.
When I used to go to my psychologist she told me that the #1 place people most had their panic attacks was at Wal-Mart (and usually while waiting in line). So many things going on, so many people(sometimes rude), so many things on your mind, it can get hot in there, and maybe you did need something to eat. But I'm still battling Wal-Mart myself. It's hard sometimes to go shopping by myself there. You're not alone at all...it's exactly how I feel. But I never stop going. I don't want to revolve my life around what stores I feel most comfortable in, etc. But here's some advice my psychologist taught me. When you start getting hot and feeling weird...start counting by 3's or say the alphabet backwards. It distracts you and helps reduce the symptoms. It sounds dumb but it usually works for me.
