WHO ELSE HAS THIS????
i've recently been getting this feeling in my head where it feels like a head rush, or tingling in scalp with sometimes sharp pains in the head. it's a weird sensation. then i looked up symtoms of brain cancer which i shouldn't of but that scared me so much and created more anxiety through out my day and recently my anxiety has been under control tremendously until today. now the worry is back and wondering what this is. i always fear the worst i.e. brain cancer
Its not cancer because I get the same thing its all part of anxiety or it could be the heat in your house. I get pains on the sides of my head in fact I have them tonight and its going to snow in NY. I also went for a MRI and it came back normal. So don't worry. Any questions you can email back Good luck
Hi buddy! As I told you earlier, I have this symptom too. I went and had an MRI so I very seriously doubt that you have cancer but you should get an MRI anyway just to ease your mind. Thats what I have done with all my symptoms. I go to the doctor and then when I have ruled out anything serious, I then can focus on eliminating the anxiety because thats all it is. Like today, I have soooo much pressure in my head and face right now. I think it is sinuses but not sure. My ears also hurt really bad so thats probably an ear infection. It feels like my head is going to explode so tomorrow I have an appointment to see what is wrong. Its been like this for 4 days so at this point, I need to find out if its sinuses or what. But I started freaking out about it. I stopped freaking out about it. I had to. I hope you can rest your mind. I know its hard but try to start reading that book tonight. Once you start reading it, you won't want to put it down.
This post may be irrelevant this topic. But, just because you've been writing about MRIs, has anyone had a panic attack while having an MRI done? I had too much pain in my neck and shoulders recently that I had to go to physical therapy for 2 months. I also had an MRI done. I had the worst panic attacks ever. I felt the heat, terrible heart racing. Almost fainted and wanted to push the button several times to stop the procedure. But, I did not. Anyways, now I'm 33 years old and I never want to have an MRI done again, ever!
MommyAngie-
I can relate to the MRI procedure. I had that done once and I freaked out-wanted to push the button also but I didn't. I felt as though I was smothering in there. I had a panic attack also.My mother actually pressed the button and got out of there and they had to start the process all over again. She has had to have a few for her back and she has major panic attacks when she gets in there. She refuses to have another one done ever, and I feel the same! I don't want another MRI ever!

Manley,
Everytime I see your name it reminds me of Laura's husband on "Little House On the Prairie".
I get the tingling sensation on the left side of my head right above my ear and every once in awhile I'd get a sharp pain that felt like an ice pick being driven into my head!!
When I went to the doc he told me that it was just a inflamed nerve and to take ibuprofen...that it will eventually heal itself.

Hi, I can also relate to these symptoms. I have been told many times that they are symptoms of a panic attack. Previously, I thought panic attacks only happened in the chest. But, from my recent experience, panic can manifest itself in many ways- including sensations in the head and neck. I also get the sharp pains, and complain of headaches all the time. But it never feels like its enough to take pain medicine--- so it really is frustrating. I guess it's just tension from all the anxiety my body is having to deal with.
