It makes me so tired trying to do everything so perfectly

I can so agree with everything that you said about working on the program,
I just finished Session Five and that is about diet and exercise.
Well, if I tried to do Session Five perfectly I would never move on to Session Six

I had a good trip to the grocery store and started buying healthier foods and I actually
started to eat those foods too. I was amazed. Now the exercise part is something I am going
to have to work on for quite some time, but I will just have to move on to Session Six while I
try to figure out a schedule or whatever for the exercise part. I am off of coffee and sugar and
I don't drink alcohol and I don't smoke.

What helps me while working on the program is focusing
on my accomplishments, no matter how small the accomplishments are. Instead of focusing on
what I did not get done or what I should have done, I focus on the things I did get done.
It really makes me feel better when I think of it that way. You can list your accomplishments for the day
or the week on paper if that works out for you. Another important thing is the "slowing down"
or the relaxing part. I don't know about you, but my mind is WAY busy when I go to bed at night,
just racing with thoughts about just everything. . . obsessing, catastrophizing. I try to use the
relaxation CD or my own Yoga-type relaxation CD when I go to bed, I have headphones that I
use and a portable CD player

I don't know if you drink coffee, but I had coffee the other day
on an empty stomach and I was so shaky for hours ! I was quite amazed at my body's reaction
to the coffee. I quit coffee two months ago, but I had decided to have one cup of coffee
that day. Ugh. I am hoping that giving up sugar will really help me too, as I am already
obese and I need to lose some pounds

Welcome to the program and stay strong and keep in touch.
