I am praying this program is the answer to my prayers! I began having anxiety/panic about April 4 after an adverse reaction to high blood pressure medication. Dr prescribed xanax, buspar, and zoloft which I took only for a about 2 weeks...the meds made things worse...they sent me into a depression I can't seem to shake. I still have depression plus the constant anxiety (haven't had a panic attack in a couple of weeks)...loss of appitite and the nasuea.
One thing that is really causing me much anxiety is listening to family members and friends talk about death...medical/health issues. I have started avoiding talking to people because of the anxiety these converations stir up. I know I can't avoid such conversations forever. What to do...what to do??

Welcome, AvaMarie!
I can see how those meds would be unsettling for you. I've been on them too and went off. One thing that many of us have in common is that we are thinkers and our minds can really visualize things. Eventually as you go through the program your anxiety will lessen and these topics won't bother you as much. I couldn't watch any tv shows such as CSI and others like that as it bothered me to see the fake bodies and the actions portrayed. I can watch them a little bit, now but pretty much stay away from them.
Rockford Files and older shows in the 60's are actually more entertaining and not so gruesome. Plus there isn't bad language, etc. I also don't mind watching Burn Notice as it doesn't focus so much on murder, as just a situation/drama/dry humor.
I'm glad you are not having anymore panic attacks. Paisleegreen
