I am feeling a bit down the last couple weeks. The obsessive thoughts have gottent the best of me. I am on that session starting today and I think that will help. I am in need of some encouraging words as just two weeks ago I was feeling really good about my progress. It is hard when the anxiety hits again,,,,I know I need to accept it but, I am finding that hard to do....Any words of encouragment would be great...

Formyboys, I'm on session 8 but couldn't help sneak a peak at session 10 because I also have problems with obsessive thoughts. I did find it helpful but we need to keep quoting Lucinda "it's just a thought" until it sinks in.

formyboys, take heart you are going to feel down from time to time but you know what to do continue to follow the plan you have set for yourself. Denzel Washington said one time and I quote"You have to do the things you got to do, so you can do the things you want to do!" Make sense. One of the few statements I have ever heard and remembered because it makes so much sense. We have to do the program so we can find our true self and be the person we want to be. You can do this, I will be here to encourage you along the way and you can encourage me when I need it okay. Take heart. Keep truckin!

Hi formyboys,

If you're just starting session 10, then you've only been in the program for 9 full weeks. Be compassionate with yourself. Say things to yourself like, "Of course I don't feel completely recovered yet. I've only been learning and practicing new skills for 9 weeks, and I've been practicing being obsessive and anxious for a lifetime. It's going to take some time to completely recover, but I can already see positive changes in my attitude and behavior. I'm going to work on my skills until they become second nature and I completely rid myself of this condition." I know you can do it, and you know you can do it, too. Good luck with session 10. We're all rooting for you :).
