Anyone taking Visteril?
I was prescribed Visteril for my anxiety months ago. Because of my extreme phobias to taking medicines, I have not taken the Visteril yet. I know everyone reacts differently to meds but I was wondering if anyone else has taking it and how they responded. Thanks soo much. I think this is a wonderful forum and I truely enjoy talking with everyone. It soo great to know that we are not alone in this. God Bless!
I have been given Vistaril before when I had a full blown panic attack in my MD's office. Vistaril as a shot, in the butt, OUCH! It was a nice sense of calm. Vistaril is non addicting and not a benzodiazapine which are widely prescribed. Its more like Bendadryl with a bigger kick. It actually is an antihistamine. So picture how drowsy Benadryl can make you, and Vistaril works the same way but better without chemical dependency risks. Hope it helps. I slept like a baby that day!!! LOL
