I recently purchased the program and I am starting week 4. 10 years ago I had anxiety and now looking at it I've been battling it ever since. I recently had a baby and my anxiety has gone throught the roof! I constantly worry about something happening to me when I take him somewhere. I think,"what if I passed out or just decided I was done with this and left him somewhere, who would take care of him?" He is a very good baby and I have nothing to complain about. I keep pushing myself to go places with him even if I would rather stay home where I know he's "safe". I want him to know more about the world other than the house and daycare. I hate getting that spacey feeling when I'm with him because then I think I'm not really "here" with my baby. I sometimes wonder if I'm even good at this "mommy" thing. Any suggestions??

FYI...He's 14 weeks old

I felt the same way when I had my babies. They are now 32 and 35. We did it and you will too. When you get that spacey feeling just look at that baby....you are a wonderful mom.. anyone who really wants a child turns into a good mom...I forced myself to take the children places...even with all the panic and anxiety because I knew I had to do it for them...there was no real help then you just plowed through it..you have the tools you need with the program..use them and slowly you will begin to enjoy every moment with your beautiful baby...its not easy but it is worth it...I now enjoy those special moments with my grandchild..I went to visit him in Rhode Island..he is 4 now...and I took him to the zoo and the movies all by myself...we had a great time...you will too...have faith

Hello! I am 6 months pregnant and having anxiety now, before the baby. I think things like that...what if i just run away, or what if I am not going to handle...its all anxiety, thats all that is. You are good mom already because you are looking for help and you care so much for your little one. Believe in yourself and believe in the power of your mind and it will do miracles for you!!! Soon you will be fine and enjoying this beautiful moment with your sweet baby! e-mail me if you need some support! Its always good to talk to mommys!
God Bless you and i promisse you it will be fine.
Are you taking any meds? I am taking celexa and has helped me a lot. I am so sure is only your hormones! Maybe you should talk to your doctor and he can prescribe you something to balance your hormones!
My e-mail is on my profile! Hope to hear from you soon!!! Oh I forgot something really important! This what ifs are only thoughts...dont fight them, let them come and go, if you fight them they will persist and bother you. Remember they are just silly and unwanted thoughts.

You are not alone. I used to be scared that I'd accidently forget my son and leave him in a buggy at the store. Silly, silly fears- that's all these are. Self-doubt and worry that bring us down. You've given birth which is a major feat and having been caring for the baby all this time. Enjoy the sweet moments and give yourself the credit you deserve. Babies grow up fast and are on their way before you know it.
Congratulations on the little one and on all the great work you have done!

Just wanted some feedback from the mommies out there. I have recently gotten off meds that I was on for seven years, and hadn't had anxiety. I have been off the meds for 4 months and we are currently trying to have a baby and using ovulator kit. I see a therapist, but know that I can't be on meds while we are trying. My anxiety has started kicking up just thinking about all of the major changes and worrying if I will be a good mom, will I be able to get myself and a baby ready before work and go with no sleep - stupid things like that. I have always wanted to be a mom, but now when is comes down to it, I am freaked out. I am also 34 so not a lot of time to waste, have been married just a year and trying to quit smoking, and working with my husband on newly diagnosed ADHD. Any suggestions?

Dreaming Good,

Go for it! It sounds as if you've been very proactive, taken safe and smart steps and are as ready as you could be. Of course you'll be nervous and may get worked up at times; everyone would!
I have a 5.5 month old now and was scared a ton that I wasn't ready. It's been the most difficult thing, but also great for me and is growing me in my self-confidence. If you have a relationship with God, share it with Him. I wish you all the best. Life is crazy hard and scary at times, but the joys in the midst of it make it all worth it. (See John 10:10).

Hello Dreaming Good,

You might consider seeing a professional naturopathic physician who treats these symptoms with herbs. It may help you through the pregnancy and after pregnancy. And you may never have to go on meds again. Same for the ADHD. I have been under this care since May of this year and my health issues are under control. No side effects. No addiction. Safe because they are whole food products.

Check the web for info. Look in the local yellow pages in the physician section for Naturopathic. And maybe more importantly, ask friends and family if they know of anyone that they would recommend.

Here is a web site for a company that does specialized health testing and they may be able to find someone in your area who is a naturopathic physician.

Another good web site for womens health:

And one more for some really great relaxation resources:

Hope this is helpful.
