lupron depot for endometriosis

hello everyone, i recently was given a 3 month dose of lupron depot injection for a cyst on my ovary caused by endometiosis and i am sort of freaking out here because of all the possible side effects that ive read. has anyone here taken this by chance and have any thoughts for me? i really need some peace of mind. thanx, cathy

Cathy: I just started Lupron injections 2 days ago for IVF.

So far, my worst side effects are hot flashes and feeling a bit light headed.

How much is your dose?

hi rowan, thanx for the reply. they put me on the 3 month dose, i think its 11.25 or something like that. i have to go back in 3 months for another injection so it will be a total of 6 months altogether. so far no real hot flashes. just some heightened anxiety(like i need that). im just so nervous that im gonna get all these horrible side effects and freak out. hopefully it will be worth it and stop the endometriosis and cysts from forming and i wish you luck in becoming a mommy soon. i have a 4 year old little girl, she's the best thing in my life. have you had any other side effects besides the hot flashes yet? i got my injection on july 2 and so far so good

Cathy:

I am taking 10 units of Lupron by injection 1x a day. I'm now on day 6. I have the hot flashes, insomnia, and increased anxiety {yea, like I need that too!} That's about all with the side effects. In about a week, I start a whole other batch of injections ON TOP of the Lupron! I'm scared of what will happen then..
