O.K. I'm about tired of being sick. I'm trying to get over bronchitis and now I have post nasal drip and it seems like it is not going away. My doctor told me to take sudafed but I'm to scared to take it because he said it might make me jittery, so I"ve just been taking one a day. I don't like the feeling of even taking one. My tongue is gray and it's scaring me. someone please give me some advice if you've ever had this, and please no scary stories!

I guess I was a little curious to see what post nasal drip had to do with anxiety, until I read your post. I think because we already have anxious thoughts its really easy to tell ourselves that something is seriosly wrong. Especially when we are sick. The common cold can feel like we have pnomonia and the flu can feel like we are dying. I don't know how many times I have let my thoughts go wild when I have been sick. Yes there is medicines that can cause you to be jittery. But there is other medicine that don't have that side effect. Ask your pharmacist if there is something else you can try. I hope you feel better soon.

I've had it for a while now, and my doctor told me to take mucinex, it helps but make sure to NOT get extra strength, I tried that first before the regular and it dried me out too much, but the regular one is good. I also had a very dry nose along with it, and Ocean water nasal spray helped with that! Trust me, I know how annoying it is....good luck!
