I was curious as to how all the February people are coming along? Is everyone done with the program? Are you going thru it twice like me? Progress? Setbacks? Anything?

Hey Mary, I'm still around but not posting too much. Along with this Anxiety course I am doing 4 online classes through a local college and been working quite a bit to boot (50+ hours a week).

I'm not done with the program yet. I'm on week 9. A couple of the weeks that I felt were really important I did twice.

I'm doing pretty well altogether despite all of the stress. the high fuel prices kills our business and is hurting our customers so that isn't good. And it's springtime in Texas which means severe weather. We've had plenty of that. All in all I am making progress although I feel like I haven't progressed as much in the last 2 weeks. Between work and thunderstorms, it takes a lot of my thinking. But I feel even it is better. I still wig out when tornadoes are around but for the most part pretty calm otherwise.

I'm working on a lot of creative things. It's amazing how it is and still is going through the roof now that I'm not obsessing all of the time.

So how are things with you?

Whispers65- I'm doing pretty good. Have some small setbacks now and then but not too bad. I'm on session 12 and will go thru everything again. I started hiking again in the mts here so this will help a lot with any 'nervous energy'. Sounds like you are really taking off with all the creative things. Good for you.

Hi Mary,
I will be on week 12 tomorrow and doing good. Not sure if I will go thru it again. I may review weeks that were important to me. But so far I'm progressing nicely! My main issue is social anxiety and I am doing things I wouldn't have done before (playing Guitar Hero video game with a group and singing with it). I still have some issues but I use my tools and they help. So far so good!

Sounds like you're doing well yourself! Keep up the great work!
Steph

Mary - wow you are pretty far along then. I'll get there but not in a huge hurry. I do plan on redoing the course again also. Gratz on hiking again! I've started out exercising slowly. I'm doing a walking video which I really like. this is allergy season for me so staying outside isn't a good thing. I'm looking forward to summer though. I just need to get in shape so I can be out in the heat when the allergy stuff dies down. Of course, the weather should be better by then also. Exercise really does help with that nervous energy.

I just finished up a class on C# (progamming language) and journaling this weekend. And am taking Teach ESL and Spanish. One of my creative outlets I'm doing right now is doing special effects with pictures, videos, etc. It's really a lot of fun.

Honestly I have far too many interests to be able to do them all but I'm having fun finding out what I like and I don't like.

stephr77- Sounds like the program has been good for you. Playing Guitar Hero and singing with a group- How fun!

Whispers65- I will be starting a Spanish class soon also. I could really use it. Was learning Italian but realized it was not helping me here in Calif. because I don't know anyone who speaks Italian.

hi guys
I still look at the forum like every other day but looks like nobody posts to the Feb page anymore. I'm on session 11 now b/c I spent few weeks on each of the more important sessions. Plus I feel like I lost part of the steam going through the program that I had in the beginning, so it's taking longer. But I am so grateful that I ever thought of this program. Oh, I cut my pill from 300mg to 75mg like 3 weeks into the program and now I'm seeing the shrink to get off of it entirely!

I lost a little steam from the beginning too. I went a little slower after the first three sessions. That's great that you have been able to cut the meds so much and may be able to go to 0. Looks like the program has done us all a lot of good. Yay!

I'm afraid I've lost my steam. I don't know why I start so many things but never finish them. I have so many good intentions in life, but sticking with things is NOT one of my strong points (although I have managed to stay married for the last 17 years...that's gotta count for something!).
Anyway, I have a feeling I shouldn't start over again... the starting isn't the problem, its the finishing for me.

Wib1, I'm the world's worst about starting stuff and not finishing. One of my main goals this year is to finish what I start. I don't have to finish everything but I'm making an effort to follow through with things. I have 2 books that I'm almost done with and have finished 2 classes now.

Now if I could just finish that diet! lol
