Left Arm Pain
Lately I've been having bouts of pain in my left arm. There doesn't seem to be any specific trigger. The last couple times I've had it it would last for half a day. It hurts pretty bad and seems to start off as mildly uncomfortable then grow to painful, and after a while may fade again to just uncomfortable then back again. This can continue for hours at a time. Physical activity doesn't seem to affect it. However that shoulder does make a constant popping noise when I move it, which I had initially associated with tight muscles from stress/anxiety that I carry in my chest/neck/shoulders. This pain can be very scary and I have had EKGs and an Echo tests not more then a couple months ago and given a clean bill of health. Still I can't fight the though. I'm not sure what to do about it.

If you've been given a clean bill of health while experiencing these symptoms, you can likely rule out a heart attack, especially if it's been going on for months and nothing has happened to you. If you still need reassurance, get checked out again, but this time truly accept the results.
That being said, you still can see your doctor or a specialist to find out if there is a physical cause and something can be done to ease the pain. Perhaps there's a simple reason like pinched nerve.
If it does in fact turn out to just be anxiety, then give yourself permission to feel the pain without judging or fearing it. As you become comfortable with the idea of the pain being there, I bet it will begin to subside and possibly go away entirely.

About a month ago I was experiencing left arm pain and left shoulder pain. I saw a doctor and he found a muscle in the top of my shoulder that was the culprit. I went to my chiropractor and she worked on it for 15 minutes and it was 90% better. I made some changes to my posture and it has not returned.
It is strange what symptoms we can get from places that are nowhere near where the pain is. It's called referred pain. Perhaps do what I did, and get a doctor to look at it. It could be as simple as a change in posture (like me).
Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I have some pain in it yet today and I have been consciously correcting my poster lately and maybe this change has exacerbated it. I'll check with a Chiropractor first and go from there. The pain is still scary due to its location but I can still do physical work without issue so it can't be serious.
Being its the left arm it draws concern....however....your going for the tests were absolutely necessary. Muscle tension and subluxations of the vertebra can cause significant pain radiating to the arms. Are your shoulders so far drawn up toward your head they are almost in your ears....not to be funny but most people harbor tension and stress in the neck and upper back. Try paying attention to what you are doing just sitting while viewing tv, or on the computer or driving...you may be surprised at what you are doing.
