i've had anxiety and depression for 12yrs and had the program for about 8 yrs i started but never finished maybe because of pride that i don't need this program or just scared to move forward instead i used alcohol to calm my self and by doing that it made things worse for my family my that's been with for 10yrs and son my wife always stood by me hoping i would change and it's been really hard for her at this point know she is tried and wants out because she doesn't think i'll change and i understand that shes been threw alot with me but now my feelings and thoughts are all over the place why i didn't change why i was being selfish i relize how much of a safe person she was to me and i feel so scared and alone and trying rush things to make it all better meanwhile i haven't helped myself yet and i feel ican't do this alone now my mind can't stop thinking about it. i know i have to control my thoughts but its really hard right now and its effecting my work my eating and sleeping.

Frank -

It sounds like you are dealing with a lot of stress right now. Perhaps now is a good time to go back and review some of the material in the Program that you started so long ago. As you know, the type of change you're looking for takes a lot of time and hard work. I don't know if it can happen fast enough for your wife, but it's certainly worth trying. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Best of luck to you,
Jamie

Frank,

I am going to be a mean person. You are very lucky that your wife has loved you for as long as she has and much much longer than I would have! (everyone can start to PM me now... I expect hate PM's) Now for the good news. If she hung on this long she is a very strong women and has tons of love for you. She may or may not stick around BUT showing her YOU are working on this may help! That and the fact that I am male also may explain it better!

Ok Frank. This program is wonderful and will help more than you may know! I know how you feel about the male pride and was the same way but when important things are going away it sure makes you focus. I was in your place several years ago with the drinking. I almost lost everything. But, like you, my wife is a very strong person and made me see what I could lose and stood beside me all the way. You have the benifit of having the program, I didnt find it until last year. Strong, smart women are pushed away by pigheaded men like us all the time. Grab on to your boot straps and "just do it". You have a great family there and they may stick around if YOU show them you are working on it.

Frank I am very sorry about being such a a$$ but I want you to know that you are NOT alone and I WILL HELP IN ANY WAY I CAN!!!!
