Okay.. a while back i've had some problems with antibiotics before which was doxycyline and Flagyl. Now i'm getting ready to have all my wisdom teeth out and the pill they gave me was Amoxicillin and i took this one and i felt like i had a fever my skin was hot i felt weak and sick i could barely walk my pelvis was hurting a lot i felt confused and just sick bad.

I called the dentist and told them then they said i don't have to take it they were just giving it to me as a precaution in case it gets infected, but i don't want it to get infected when i go to oral surgory getting them cut out. So i have no clue what to do its stress all over again from last time with the antibiotics.

Most people i tell this to look at me like im crazy. When i called the pharmacist she said antibiotics don't do that to anyone and treated me like an idiot. Then i have people telling me to just take it and suffer through the pain and sickness of the pill because its supose to make me feel sick killing the good stuff in my body too. Being sick for two weeks would feel like it since i have to take it for that long feels like i have the flu when i take that pill.

That is the thing with anxiety and meds. Sometimes the anxiety makes those feelings arise and we don't know whether it is truly a side effect/allergy of the med or the anxiety, but I would say to not take it any longer if you felt that bad. If they didn't suggest calling you in something differently then I wouldn't worry about it. I seem to have lots of side effects from meds, and I really think the anxiety makes taking meds a lot worse for me.

Hope that your surgery goes well ~ in fact..I am sure it will! ;)

Stop taking it if they said it is just a precaution. I have had several tooth extractions and the oral surgeon or dentist never gave me any antibiotic--just had me rinse with warm saline water several times a day after the surgery.

BTW, before I ever had any anxiety, Cipro made me feel about the same way, so I cannot take it. Different people have different reactions to meds. Maybe penicillin is not the antibiotic of choice for your body.
