I am still unemployed after more than a year.
I am so depressed I just don't know what to do with myself. I did do a design job for free for someone. It's pretty darn good. I got a call for a second interview because of it. The guy remember me from the last time he did not hire me. He said "keep in touch" and said he might have work for me. Well I have not heard from him.... WHAT DO I DO? I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE.
Unemployed and broken
Hi, I know how you feel, I was in you position for 2 years, all you can do is keep applying and dont let it get you down which is easier said than done I know, Phone around employers, some don't advertise, take any job you can get even if it shelf stacking, its easier to get another job when you already have one for some strange reason.Originally posted by King Peace:

Its been about a year and a half for me. I even had to move out of the city and into a town with less than 200 people and it kinda sucks. I actually got onto disability and am about to move back into the city and look for some crappy job to start off with.
Finding a job is good yes and in situations like this it is a good idea to get some help from some kinda agency (if there is any around) as they deal with situations like ours on a frequent basis. Also keep yourself busy some how so you aren't constnatly focus on both your anxiety and the fact that you have no job because both can make you really depressed. Heck it could make anybody depressed.
Do some jogging, take up some kinda hobby, research success and stories of people overcoming this condition (well ok i guess that isn't staying away from focus of anxiety but at least its focusing on a good thing).
I wish i could give more advice on the matter but the way i got to the point where i am is kinda diffrent. I went into a hospital for awhile (mostly cuz i had no place to live but i told them about suicidal thoughts i had but always downplayed) and that made me able to get onto disability and with that money i was able to go to the gym and save up for first and last. My job hunting would also be very diffrent too so i'm sorry i'm not more helpful.
