"Come to me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)"
Hi there, I have this same thing, and have for a year now. But this does not happen to me at night(in fact that is the only time I am calm) it happens if I am dead tired(which I always am) during the day and I try to have a nap. or if I wake up at 6am and try to go back to sleep, I will sleep 5minutes, wake up in a panic, almost the feeling as though I am late for something. this happens morning or afternoon when I try to sleep. I had even tried taking ativan or alprazolam during the day to sleep and did not work. Yet at nightime I have no problem. My doctor told me it was something in my subconscious making me do this. It is so irritating and after this happens, it completely ruins my day..I wish I had an answer for you, as I am still looking for the answer myself. Hang in there.
I assume you first 2 ladies are on the program? If so you have the tools to make this go away.Terag (I assume you are female, the nicknames are so misleading sometimes)Your doctor is correct. It's subconscience. We get into such a self loathing and low down thinking that it becomes second nature and even when we sleep the brain is repeating what we have told it or have believed what someone has told us(parents, peers etc. Right now start retraining your mind to positive thoughts. Some people say they can't find anything positive about themselves, and I used to think that way but I know differently now! I give to ministries that feed poor children, even something small during the day such as a positive jesture to a fellow human such as a compliment or a smile! When I went through cancer treatments(extremely malnourished and weak) the ladies at the grocer would smile and greet me so warmly and that made my day! Start going out with a smile on your face even if you have to force it on yourself and before long you will receive that same friendly gesture back!
As for sleeping, I use a natural substance called Melatonin, I get the 3mg chewable&sublingual tabs(chew, put under tongue)and do positive thought input before going to bed. Let me recommend some books for you all, they will help with positive thoughts. ALl refer to God and Christ: Pastor Osteen book titled Your BEst Life Now, then John Eldredge titled 'Waking The Dead:The Glory of a Heart Fully Alive' then Norman Vincent Peale titles The Power of Positive Thinking, and also You Can if You Think You Can.
I suggest all in that order.
Hope this helps. If any of you have more questions, please PM me because I rarely come back to check the forums.
Take care!
