I am a 25 year old male. I have been on medication for panic disorder and depression for 3 and 1/2 years. I had my first episode in college when my gf and I started to discuss marriage.Within two weeks we went talking about marriage to not being together at all.
I have had about 4 or 5 episodes that have caused me to have attacks. The current trigger was related to looking for a job. I live in ohio and I was looking for jobs in arizona. I talked to a high school and then I started to have the attacks... It started as nerves and builds and then I started crying and about hyperventalating. I have since had minor episodes usually between rising in the morning and 3 pm. After that the episodes to seem to not be as bad. I do however still not feel like myself. I feel kind of hollow and kind of absent of some feelings. It is difficult to look for jobs. I don't feel like I can look for a relationship.
Can the program help me?

I am taking zoloft and xanex. I take the zoloft everyday and the xanex as needed which has been more since I have had teh attacks again.

Any tips or comments are appreciated

hi, i'm a 34 year old mom of 2 wonderful kids. i'm pretty sure i've been suffering from anxiety for a number of years, probably since high school. i've tried paxil to no avail. my biggest problem seems to be dealing with uncontrollable circumstances, my job, kids and peers. when variables change, so does my mood. panic sets in and my thought process revolves around the panic. im really hoping the program can keep my heart from racing, face from flushing and dizzy spells occurring.

Dear RyaninOhio and Mich08

Yes guys this program is great for you, don't waste another day it is worth it. I have felt all those things you both are feeling -and more however in time you will learn coping skills that will help you deal with pretty much everything. In addition to that, I must say even with the program you must continue to have positive things in your life for example, read a positive spiritual book once in awhile, buy a new piece of clothing, play a favorite cd, in other words do something to to distract your mind and give it a break from those obsessive thoughts. You can do this !
