Do you check your blood sugar?? The reason I ask is because you can feel like that from a "drop" in BS and it not be necessarily low. Happens to me all the time, but I am borderline Type II diabetic, so I check mine, and if it drops below 100, I can feel it, below 90 and I feel awful......hope it helps.

Hi rene50
I know exactly what you are feeling. I hated that feeling the most of any of my anxiety symptons. I would feel real spacey in the head, lightheaded and I couldn't focus. Years ago I worried myself sick that I was going blind because it seemed to mess up my vision. But for a long time now I have begun to realize these symptons only come on when I am real anxious about doing something, like maybe something I haven't tried before. And the last few times I felt that way I told myself that was what it was, just my anxiety, just my thoughts and that it wasn't going to hurt me and I would get by and in fact could go on about my day even bothered by these spacey feelings. After I learned to talk to myself in a calm manner, and gave myself permission to be anxious because I was getting ready to challenge myself in some new way, I noticed the spaciness didn't hang around very long. Now pretty much I don't have those spacey feelings anymore, but on the few times I start feeling that way, I know how to talk to myself and get through it. It honestly doesn't scare me anymore, and I know I am not going blind! What a big relief. Hope this helps some. Trish

Wow Rene, this is a new symptom for me too!! It started last week and the first time I had this happen I went into a full blown panic attack. As I keep having them (I think they come on because I am scared of them)I feel sick, weak, shaky, headaches and my body hurts but your symptoms are what I experience too. They are real scary episodes and can last what seems like forever but I have had the blood tests & physical done so I know it is not that. The only thing left would be anxiety! It is funny cause I started doing things that I would not usually do (trying to come out of the anxiety) and the new symptoms started. I hope this helps cause I know they are scary.

thanks guys... i just wish i could believe it is anxiety. hearing your stories makes me believe it and then the next day when it happens again i freak out AGAIN.. want2- i am borderline type 2 also and same thing i notice it when it drops below 100.. wierd thing is under 100 is where it should be most of the time.
why do you think it is happening that way??

this website is amazing.

even after 100+ posts and over 6 months of recovering...there is always something new that i can agree with.

i too felt this feeling and went to my doctor a couple of months ago and presented this feeling...certain that i was hypoglycemic.

i would wake up in the morning, and be very weak and shaky. only eating would work.

it was not every day, but it was frequent.

this eventually faded and thank God has not returned.

i can't explain the physiological reasoning for why this happens...but mine was totally anxiety.
